Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway in Crovie Village just yards from the sea. This property has been completely refurbished to a high standard. The upstairs open plan kitchen/sitting room, with wood-burning stove, overlooks the sea and the outside seating area has stunning views of the Moray Firth and Gardenstown. The spacious bedroom has a king size bed and en suite shower room. A perfect cottage for two to enjoy the solitude, fabulous sunsets and occasional dolphin display. Crovie is a small village dating from a time when the sea was the only form of transport to and from Scotland's shores. Crovie is unique. There may be other villages where the use of motor vehicles is discouraged but as far as we know there's nowhere else in mainland Britain where it is impossible to use one. Classed as one of the best preserved villages in Scotland, Crovie, this little jewel sits right on the wall of the North Sea. Yes, actually on the (Website hidden by Airbnb) traffic...only the sound of the waves lashing the shore, the pebbles rolling to and fro under the changing tide and the seagulls crying. Each cottage has its own wheelbarrow to help carry daily provisions to the house along the narrow path which separates the houses from the sea. As you look out to sea you may be rewarded with the spectacular sight of bottle nosed dolphins and even a whale. From Gardenstown you can take a trip on a boat to the Gannet colony along the coast at Troup Head. Gardenstown offers a couple of shops, a pub overlooking the picturesque harbour, where you can get excellent meals and Eli's cafe for your morning coffee and cake. A car is essential to access Crovie. The main car park is at the bottom of the hill at the end of the village. There are two further car parks, one at the top of the hill and a visitor's car park as you drive towards Crovie. Macduff and Banff are a twenty minute drive away. You can walk to Gardenstown along the coastline and there are daily buses from there to Banff
