The Tiny House in the Rain Forest

All welcome. A self contained tiny house situated among rainforest of the Yarra ranges. The forest surrounds us by three sides, with one neighbour next door. There are plenty of tracks to go walking. Ideal if your into bird watching, bush walking, or hiking. All our water comes from the little Yarra rivers tributaries so it's clean, untreated and fresh. The house stays very warm in winter with a cozy wood fire and cool in the summer shaded by a large beech tree. One bedroom split level tiny house, the bed sits in a loft accessed by stairs. Covered in lovely linen and bamboo sheets. There is a small bathroom with a shower, sink and bath all hooked up to hot water and a toilet. Organic towels provided. Kitchen has gas cook top with 3 burners, small fridge and double sink. The kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils, pots and crockery. We also supply oil, salt, pepper, tea, milk, coffee and granola. We have a freezer which guests can use, located in a shared laundry space. Wood fire for heating, with a wood fired oven. The space is well insulated so it stays warm and snug. It is also shaded by two beautiful beech trees so stays cool in the summer. The tiny house has a small desk with Ethernet cable and wireless internet, which reaches throughout the space. Perfect for getting away and getting some creative work done, writing or music. We have some chickens, geese, a cat and a dog on the property. All are very friendly, they might come say hello, but usually keep to themselves. We have one neighbour and the tiny house is situated on the same property as our main house, where we live. So you may see us tending animals or gardening if we are about. We keep to ourselves and are very aware of your privacy. We are available to help out if need be, for example tending the fire. The french doors open to a garden shaded by a peach tree, so lovely for relaxing under in the warmer months. People have access to the tiny house, easily identified by its top octagonal windows. Also access to a private garden with seating and we're happy to have people wander throughout the property. If you need to contact us we are available through air BnB or by phone. We stay in the main house also on the property. Happy to help out or answer any questions in person. There is a large supermarket open 7 days 15 minutes away in Yarra Junction or an organic grocery store open 6 days a week called Village Greens, not open Sundays. Yarra Junction also has a laundromat if needed. There are amazing walks and some interesting history around the town for you to explore. 7 Acre rock is a must see, just a short drive from us. The Ada tree is also located nearby. A beautiful cafe called Nancy’s of the Valley is located in Yarra Junction that serves delicious drinks and food. A car would be most ideal to access the property. The town has a pub which also doubles as a shop with some snack foods. The town is in walking distance from the property. There is no public transport, with the closest bus stop located in Yarra Junction, a 15 minute drive from us. Bring food for your stay, there is a fridge inside the space to store food. Our kitchen is fully functional and should meet most cooking requirements. Towels, sheets, toiletries, coffee, milk and basic condiments are supplied. We also have plenty of books, magazines and some puzzles.
