Large Private Poolside Home for 6 People

N.B: Please ensure you specify the correct number of guests when booking. Any undeclared overnight guests will be charged to the credit card used for booking following departure. House is freestanding on a sizeable 1.5 acre property. The owners residence is on the same block of land facing perpendicular to this property (see photos for further clarification). Closeby to the main street of Kyneton which features the historic Piper St hub and local attractions. Light and airy freestanding house with high ceilings. It contains an open plan living and kitchen space facing out to the pool. Has one queen room, one room with single bunk bed and another bedroom upstairs on the mezzanine (not entirely private, see photos). Guests will have non exclusive private access to the studio and pool. This includes 2 private bedrooms, one mezzanine bedroom (not entirely private to other rooms, overlooking the living space), kitchen, living area, bathroom and walk-in robe (attached to the bathroom). The only areas which will be blocked off to guests are the office and adjoining garage as we use these for storage. We also have a large driveway with ample parking space for guests. We are a semi-retired couple residing in the adjacent house on the property. Our daughter Rachel lives part time in Melbourne and part time in Kyneton and assists in hosting and managing the property. We are pretty quiet and are happy to leave our guests to it, so your privacy can be assured. In saying this, we are warm, welcoming and friendly and more than happy to advise on things to do during your stay in Kyneton. We are passionate about our town and hope to share our love of the regions food, history and natural attractions with our guests. Kyneton is a hidden gem in Victoria's Macedon Ranges. It features a historic main street with plenty of boutique shops, fresh produce sellers and upmarket restaurants. It's centrality also means it's the perfect base to take a myriad of day trips around the Macedon Ranges. Hanging rock is a 15 minute drive, Castlemain 30 minutes and Daylesford 35 minutes. There is also Kyneton railway station a 5 minute driveaway if you'd prefer to explore the region by train. Kyneton Railway station and the main street is a 5-minute drive from the property. There are also bike lanes should you wish to cycle. Hanging Rock is 15 minutes driving. Castlemaine is a 30 minute drive or a few stops on the train. Daylesford is a 35 minute drive, or you can take the train 1 stop to Woodend and catch the tourist shuttle there. Whilst the pool is not typically used by others during a guests stay other than maintenance and cleaning, it may from time to time be shared. When it is used by others it is usually when guests are out or not using the pool unlike when at a motel or hotel complex.
