Cosy Garden Studio - Close to Airport, City, Beach

Our cosy self contained garden studio which comfortably fits two (2) is in a quiet street located near Sydney Airport, the city of Sydney and glorious beaches. With its separate entrance, the studio also has its own ensuite and kitchenette. Free wi-fi is also available for guests. NOTE: Three friendly dogs (Beagles) live on the property. This light-filled garden studio (also known as a 'granny flat') is perfect for a couple or a single person. It has a comfortable queen size bed with bedside tables, a dressing table with mirror, a wardrobe, a small table table with 4 chairs, and a comfortable sofa to sit and relax while you enjoy complimentary tea and coffee. This newly built studio is located at the rear of our family home with its own entrance and plenty of on-street parking. The studio has a kitchenette including a sink, toaster, kettle, microwave and refrigerator. Plates, cutlery, cups and glasses are also provided. The studio has its own ensuite with a shower, basin and toilet. A doona/duvet, pillows, sheets and towels are provided. A couple of beach towels are available for use during summer and an extra blanket and small electrical heater is available during cooler nights. The garden studio is an easy 15 - 20 minute ride to and from Sydney Airport by car. The studio offers easy access by public transport (buses) to Sydney's CBD and harbour (9km), the University of NSW, Entertainment Quarter (formerly known as Fox Studios), Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children's Hospital and some of Sydney's gorgeous beaches like Maroubra Beach, Coogee Beach and Clovelly Beach to name a few. Local shops, cafes and restaurants are only a short walk away at Matraville, Hillsdale Southpoint Shopping Centre (Woolworths, pharmacy, medical centre, bakery and cafes) or Westfield Eastgardens. The garden studio, with its own separate entrance, has an ensuite and kitchenette. Guests have access to our sunny backyard. Free wi-fi is also provided. My two children and I live in the main house only a few metres away from the studio. Your privacy will be respected. However, if you have any questions or would simply like to chat, I am always available. The studio, on the border of Maroubra/Matraville, is located across the road from Heffron Park which is very popular for walking, jogging and cycling. The Des Renford Leisure Centre is located on the grounds of Heffron Park and includes a 50m outdoor Olympic pool, a 25m indoor pool, enclosed wading pool, a toddlers' outdoor pool and a gym. Maroubra is a lovely, relaxed beachside suburb in the eastern suburbs of Sydney. The name "Maroubra" is taken from a local Aboriginal word meaning "like thunder" - describing the sound of the surf pounding against the rocks on Maroubra Beach. Maroubra is conveniently located near the city, gorgeous beaches and Sydney Airport. The Coastal Walk is a spectacular walk along the coastline from Maroubra Beach to Clovelly Beach. The walk is clearly signposted, passing through parks and beaches. If you love shopping, the studio is not too far from Westfield Eastgardens, Westfield Bondi Junction and various clothing outlets in Zetland and Waterloo where you can pick up a great bargain. The studio is located near a few bus stops on Anzac Parade, Bunnerong Road and Beauchamp Road. Two Opal Cards for use on public transport are available. You will just need to 'top' them up with credit. This can easily be done on the internet. Bus route 394 travels along Anzac Parade to Circular Quay via Maroubra Junction, Kingsford, Kensington, Moore Park, Darlinghurst and City Bus route 393 runs along Anzac Parade to Railway Square near Central Station via Maroubra Junction, Kingsford, Kensington, Moore Park and Surry Hills. Bus route 309 runs along Bunnerong Road to Circular Quay via Botany, Mascot, Rosebery, Zetland, Redfern, Central Station and City. Bus Route 317 travels north along Beauchamp Road to Bondi Junction via Marourba Beach, South Coogee, Randwick and Waverley. Bus Route 317 travels south along Beauchamp Road to Westfields Eastgardens. Cooking is limited to the microwave. We have two children and three friendly dogs (Beagles) who are always eager to welcome Airbnb guests and will greet you with a bark to let us know you've arrived.
