Perfect stay-cation in Galway's Westend! The apartment is located in a small building with only two other apartments. It is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised between guests and door handles/handrails are sanitised multiple times a day. Many of Galway's best restaurants and cafes are in the area, all doing take away menus until they reopen. Take away pints are available around the corner too! Supermarket and Spanish Arch 5 min walk. Salthill 15 min. The apartment is bright and spacious. The open plan living area has a couch to relax on and 40" TV with Netflix. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, extractor fan, microwave, fridge/freezer and all the cooking utensils you will need. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed with quality linen, built-in wardrobes and fresh towels. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and electric shower with instant hot water. You will have the entire apartment to yourself to relax after a day sight seeing or to get ready before hitting the town. It is a clean and tidy space. There is a TV in the living room and free WIFI. The kitchen is fully equipped if you prefer to stay in and cook yourself. I am always available by email and you will have my number to contact me during your staying. You can feel free to contact me if you have any issues or need advice on the property or simply the best pub/restaurant to go to! The apartment is located in an area of Galway known as Galway’s West End. It is a hub of restaurants, pubs, shops and has all the amenities one could wish for including a dentist, hairdresser, fruit and veg shop, convenience store, church, launderette, coffee shop, cobbler and taxi office. Just opposite the building is Mona Lisa Restaurant where you will find Galway’s best Italian food – it’s delicious!! More information If you go out the door and turn right you will pass a small square known as the ‘Small Crane’ which is where Galway’s potato market was regularly held. You will find there the famous Crane Pub which has traditional Irish music nightly and is known for the mighty craic! Further down the street is Ernie’s Grocery shop which boasts the freshest fruit and veg, Wooza Wood Fired Pizza to satisfy any late night cravings and Kai restaurant which has won numerous awards and has the best Sunday brunch in Galway. Just past Kai is the Jesuit Church where you can pray for any sins you may have committed the night before :-) Also, just around the corner is An Seomra Yoga (The Yoga Room) for anyone who wants to keep up with there fitness or relaxation whilst travelling. If you go out the door and turn left you will pass Massimo’s Pub and Restaurant which has great food and even better cocktails! They have a fun DJ there on Friday and Saturday nights. Next you will find Urban Grind, they have light bites and really good coffee if you need a quick fix. Past that is the Secret Garden, another café but specialises in tea and then there is The Blue Note, another pub and late bar. The Face hairdresser is across the road – I can highly recommend them. When you get to the end of the road, to the left is O’Beirn’s Pharmacy for any forgotten necessities. To the right is a convenience shop which is open late, Emperor City (Chinese restaurant and take away), Bamboo (Chinese restaurant and take away), John Keogh’s Pub (pub and restaurant), Oscar’s (restaurant specialising in fresh fish), The Roisin Dubh (famous pub and gig venue), Four Aces Casino (open late), Vinnie’s Take Away, Monroe’s Pizza Tavern and finally Monroe’s Pub and Nightclub (also famous for live music and great craic). If you go left from Monroe’s there are more pubs and great restaurants (French, Creole, Irish and Italian) on Dominick Street. If you cross the road and head over Wolf Tone Bridge you will come to the Spanish Arch and the Galway Museum. Past this is Quay Street straight up to Shop Street, Galway’s main thoroughfare filled with pubs, restaurants, shops and has the best nightlife around. Galway’s Tourist Office is located in Eyre Square which is at the top of Shop Street. With markets, butchers, cheese and fish mongers nearby..make yourself a gourmet meal in the fully equipped kitchen! Every Saturday morning there is a fresh produce and crafts market on Market Street (5 mins walk). There is a taxi office down the road and I also highly recommend Big O Taxis. The bus station and train station are a 15 minute walk from the apartment located just off Eyre Square. PLEASE NOTE: This apartment is located next door to a pub and can be noisy on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm until 2:30am (not applicable during COVID 19 restrictions). The apartment is located in a very safe building with only two other apartments.
