The garden cottage is in the grounds of our family home. It is newly refurbished and perfectly situated for a short break or a longer stay exploring the Brecon Beacons National Park. We feel privileged to live on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Llandeilo (one of The Sunday Times top 10 places in Wales to live) and can't wait to welcome you to this beautiful corner of Carmarthenshire. Croeso cynnes! To make the most of the spectacular and far reaching views the cottage has an 'upside down' configuration. Upstairs is the spacious open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with it's large picture window looking out over rolling hills, woodland and lake. Not a single streetlight can be seen, making it the perfect spot for star gazing by night! Downstairs, off the entrance hallway are two comfortable bedrooms (one a king and the second a twin bedroom) and the modern shower room. We provide crisp cotton bedlinen and fluffy towels! The traditional market town of Llandeilo is a short drive, or leisurely stroll along quiet country roads. Overlooking the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Tywi Valley, its colourful streets are filled with independent boutiques, (it's regularly named as one of the best places in Wales to shop!) as well as excellent restaurants and cafes. We love the Gin Haus, which boasts one of Wales' largest collections of gin; for a special dinner head for the Cawdor; and for those with a sweet tooth don't miss 'Heavenly', Llandeilo's very own chocolate emporium. The National Trust property Dinefwr Park with its castle, gardens and deer herds is a 10 minute walk. For a longer hike, the Brecon Beacons beckon, spreading east from Llandeilo. If you only do one hike, make it to Carreg Cennen Castle, a spectacular ruin high on a hill just four miles away. World renowned Aberglasney Gardens and The National Botanical Garden of Wales are also on our doorstep. A little further afield you'll find blue flag beaches.
