Rural Cottage on the Offas Dyke walking trail
Our property is a charming cottage with a link to Welsh academic history, being the childhood home of Welsh author Raymond Williams. Nestled in a small Hamlet in the village of Pandy, right on the doorstep of the popular Offas Dyke hiking trail, this property offers a quiet rural getaway within walking distance of a village shop, garage and 3 local pubs. One of these pubs, The Skirrid Inn names itself the oldest pub in Wales and offers Ghost Tours throughout the year. The cottage offers a cosy and homely feel, whether you fancy curling up in front of the log burning fire on a chilly evening after a walk around the surrounding hills and fields, relaxing with a drink on the decking before heading out for a meal at one of the village pubs, or cooking dinner for a night in, Llwynderw Cottage provides the perfect base for an enjoyable getaway. If you'd like to leave the village, the cottage is a mere 10 minute drive from the market town of Abergavenny, and half an hour from the historical market town of Monmouth. Why not stop for a coffee at one of the independent coffee shops the towns have to offer, or book yourself in for a meal at one of the local family-run restaurants.
