La Cabana de Mas Cal Sastre

It has got a double bed with canopy, chest of drawers and night table, everything made of chestnut and done in the workplace of the country house. The floor is made of real oak tins. The bathroom is blue, and the toilet is made of ancient porcelain. A tiny loophole is sometimes the lair of some birds. "Mas Cal Sastre" is a country house about which we find written references in the 14th century, as a dependent cabin of the Solterra Castle, in the municipality of Sant Hilari Sacalm, in the heart of the zone called “Les Guilleries”. A load of time, a load of stones, a load of hopes... And we are one of many families that have lived here. We made it ours; we restored it with the respect it deserves, accurately, using ecological and autochthonous materials from the zone, and retrieving almost forgotten ancient building methods. It’s an austere house, as country houses have always been in this area, but with a very strong personality. We gave it back the dignity of a big house, and we filled it with unique details which make it different and warm. As warm and kind is the treatment we’ll give you when you come to our house. Because this has always been the real country houses essence: to be a place where to live for ones, and a host place for other, where to SHARE after-lunch conversations, experiences, feelings... anyway, pieces of life.
