It has 3 bedrooms with very comfortable beds, 2 with recently renovated ensuites and heated floors. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities and is fully equipped. The gardens have been featured in magazines, travel shows and gardening literature, both locally and internationally. The property also has a tennis court, a Japanese tea house, and a garden pavilion on the grounds. This property will appeal to anyone with a love of gardens and nature. Set within 24 acres of historical Dennarque Estate, the gardens are regarded by many as one of the best cold climate gardens in Australia. The gardens were originally designed over 135 years ago by the then Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney director, Charles Moore. The Gardens still retain a large number of original plantings that were introduced from various countries around the world planted in the late 19th Century. There are many rare species of maples, rhododendrons, camellias, dahlias and many old tree ferns which grace the gardens. Rarely open to the public, Dennarque Estate is now available to in-house guests staying at Koonawarra. Guests can enjoy the 24 acres of gardens, play a game of tennis, or wander through the many garden paths. Parking is available in the designated parking area outside the house. on call 24/7 Mount Wilson is a heritage garden village less than two hours from Sydney. It is on one of the highest points in the mountains. Mount Wilson has unique tree ferns which are native to this area. There are many walks within the village. It is a photographer's paradise especially during the autumn season when the colors provide a spectacular display. Please note the village of Mount Wilson is listed as a heritage conservation area. There are no shops within the village, the closest being Blackheath 32 minutes drive from Mount Wilson and Lithgow being 35 minutes. There are many cafes and restaurants around Blackheath, Medlow Bath, Katoomba, Leura, as well as Lithgow. Please bring your tennis gear for a game of tennis.
