Room for ONE, with a view
While I stay in the main room, my SPARE ROOM (see photos) is currently available to Airbnb guests - an Oasis of Peace in the heart of a vibrant, multi-cultural city that is London and it’s heart, the East End :) BOOKING YOUR VISIT: I run an *old school* Airbnb. So when you get in touch, let me know who you are, what the purpose of your visit is etc. If we seem to be a 'good match' - I'll book you in :) Many of my guest said that staying with me is like going on a little retreat and stepping into an Oasis of Peace. I ask my guest to respect this space and its energy please. You will have access to: - Your private room (see photos of 'spare / Airbnb room') - Shared bathroom (I provide toilet paper, soap and will give you one towel to use - if you require anything else, please make sure you bring what you need) - NO ACCESS to shared kitchen / lounge (since 2020 when this space had to turn into my office and yoga studion, I no longer offer access to this room - tho 'within reasonable hours' / when I'm not working, you will will be able to quickly pop in to make tea/coffee only) Interaction with guest/s: I tend to have a pretty busy schedule - but you will have my number & will be able to get hold of me if/when you need to. THE LOCAL AREA ---------------------- If you have a quick look at a map of London you’ll appreciate how central Mile End / Bethnal Green is. The local area is green, safe and walking around is a must to truly appreciate it. You'll find everything you need in this neighbourhood ...if I don't have to (e.g. go to work etc), I hardly ever leave the East End - I love it here :) Local Cafes and restaurants are great with a very special East End character and charm. We have a good and interesting selection of local shops and markets & we’re not far from any of the major supermarkets. ATM / bank / post office are within walking distance. The nearest launderette / dry cleaning service (should you need it) is less then 5 minutes walk away. Situated in Zone 2, with many tube, train, bus and bike alternatives – it couldn’t be easier to get around. London Underground (aka 'the Tube') Bethnal Green and Mile End stations are both approximately 10minutes walk, or 2-3 stops on a bus (please look for connection to those when planning how to get here from an airport or train station) Buses The apartment is well placed for buses to central London and other destinations (No8 goes directly to the City & West End, No277 takes you to Docklands) Feeling adventurous? Try using one of the city bikes (aka 'Boris bikes') and explore the city for £2 per day on your own two wheels Please note that I have a fairly 'unusual schedule' (early mornings / early bedtimes), so I ask my guests to observe 'quiet hours' in the house between 9.30pm and 5am This also impact on my availability for check in/out - this we'll need to agree prior to finalising / confirming your booking.
