'Puppies & Pancakes North Beach' - 450m to the sparkling ocean! Nestled in one of Perth's most sought after beachside suburbs, this original 3 x 1 beach cottage, sleeps a maximum of 6 guests, has a large yard and is close to the best of everything in Perth! Walk to an array of beaches, popular cafes and shops, with the tourist enclaves of Scarborough Beach and Sorrento Quay just a 5-7 minute drive away - south and north respectively. Furry family members are as welcome as those less hairy! From the moment you arrive, the chilled out, beach vibe is evident and flows right through the house from the front door to the backyard. You will have no option but to relax, unwind and recharge your soul! Guests will have the entire property to themselves, consisting of our cozy 3 x 1 cottage, the outdoor entertaining space and a fully enclosed large backyard. With bleached jarrah floorboards throughout (and little patches of 'natural' jarrah poking through), this property is both durable and rustically fabulous! Salty toes and paws are always welcome! The newly renovated galley style kitchen sits next to the dining area and has been stocked with everything needed for your getaway (gas stove, microwave, Caffitaly coffee machine, compact dishwasher, pots and pans, crockery, glasswear etc). Should kitchen time not be your style when holidaying, there are a plethora of fabulous cafes and restaurants practically on your door step. There is a huge outdoor dining table and BBQ, should you wish to enjoy the fresh air and garden scene ... and a Balinese daybed on which to while away the day. The tropical outdoor shower is a delightful end to a beach trip ....or even just the day! Each of the 3 bedrooms have been lovingly decorated with relaxation and the beach (both its colours and its textures) as the inspiration. They are also fitted with ceiling fans (the main has aircon too), just incase the sea breeze hasn't quite come in yet! Our newly renovated bathroom has a large bench top, ample storage space in the drawers underneath for your personal needs, a walk in shower and rainwater shower head. There is a fully functional laundry - although you may be too busy relaxing to even contemplate using it :-) Off street parking is available for 3 cars - or any of the 'motorised toys' that may accompany you on your holiday. We are accepting of well behaved children aged 6yo+ (as we feel the outdoor steps, sloping nature and tiered yard of the property, to be a little unsafe for those any younger). Children under 10yo will be accommodated in a shared double bed (unless there are more than 2, in which case the 3rd bed can be set up). Those aged 10+ can use a double bed each - or as they choose. (Please see the House Rules for further expectations, regarding travelling to our beach house with children). As fur baby lovers ourselves, the enjoyment and safety of your treasured family member whilst on holidays is of the upmost importance to us. At Puppies & Pancakes they will be safe and sound in the yard, should you choose to venture out without them. There is a 1.5m high gate on each side of the property through which to access the backyard. The RHS if the property has a 1.8m Colourbond fence. The LHS has Super 6 fencing that ranges in height from 1.35m to 1.6m. The back perimeter has been upgraded with a Reeded Bamboo fence at 1.8m high. (The beautiful back yard, the gates and the fences are shown in the images in the listing). We do allow your fur baby inside, as we believe they like to 'hang' with you, as much as you do with them! Please ensure they don't go on the inside furniture, to help preserve it and keep it clean for our future guests. We will provide a dog bed for your fur baby - so please do advise us of your dog breed at the time of booking. If you wish to join your pooch for some floor time, you can use the dog blankets provided in the storage box, under the LHS of the sofa. *Don't hesitate to chat with us about your fur baby's individual needs / wants. Smokers are not permitted to stay at our property. Strictly NO Smoking anywhere! **Our home is professionally cleaned following strict government health department guidelines with regards to products used and the procedures implemented between guests stays. It is completed in accordance with Australian Govt Health guidelines. Guests will have full and exclusive access to the entire property. We live nearby to the property and can be called upon to attend during your stay (when possible), if needed. We are available for phone contact at anytime and will usually respond within the hour, if we missed your call. Should you need recommendations for how to fill your days, please consult the Tourist Information basket located under the appliance cupboard. Feel free to contact us if you would like additional suggestions. If you love relaxing 'beach time' or getting active in the outdoors this stunning location has it all! North Beach has a beautiful coastline, fabulous bush land and an abundance of parks and recreational facilities. It has a very ‘clean energy’ feel. Great eateries are dotted along West Coast Drive - some with spectacular views of the ocean. Nearby suburban streets also contain some of the areas best kept cafe and coffee spots secrets. You can expect to wait to get a table on most weekends in summer. The area of the coastline that edges North Beach and abuts the Indian Ocean is scattered with small beaches of clean white sand, in amongst ancient rocky cliffs and reef pools. The underwater world provides hours of delight for keen snorkelers and divers. Many of the nearby beaches are overlooked by grass and playground spaces - making them the perfect spot for a picnic. Oh ... and don't forget to take in our stunning sunsets, at least once, whilst here. Fabulous dog beaches are in walking distance from the house (both north and south) and the nearby Charles Riley Reserve has a fully enclosed, purpose built off leash exercise area, should your fur baby like a change of scenery. Just over the road from here you will find Star Swamp Bushland and its multitude of walking trails - all welcoming of dogs! And when you are heading back to the house be sure to stop off at the Kitchener St Deli, one of the last remaining corner delicatessens and a popular landmark in the suburb. Perth is undoubtedly one of the cleanest and safest places on the planet. It is also one of the most drivable cities in the world, with a very simple road network that extends north and south along the coast and freeways and then east to the Darling Ranges. The world class Lake Karrinyup Country Club is a 5 minute drive for golf enthusiasts and Hamersley Public Golf Course is on the way. The Swan Valley, famous for the wineries and breweries that call it home, is a pleasant 25 minute drive away and well worth spending exploring. There are 5 train lines that span the metro area and south to Mandurah - one of which is very accessible from the house (5-7 mins drive). There is a bus stop on the next street, a mere 300m away, with buses terminating at major shopping centres, train stations and the CBD. Of course, the ever popular Ubers, Olas and Didi (to name a few) are always in supply. Please note ... as this property is positioned on a sloping block and some steps are present outside, we feel it is unsafe for children under 6yo. Whilst the house is on one level, there are 6 large steps down to the alfresco area from the carport and 3 steps and a small slope from the backdoor down to the backyard. There are also 2 levels to the yard - a top grassed area and a lower paved section.
