Cosy and modern with outdoor pool open in summer

Gavenny Cottage is a self contained annex that has an enclosed private courtyard and a private outdoor swimming pool that guests can use from 26th April - 30th September 2021. ***THE POOL IS CLOSED OUTSIDE OF THESE DATES FOR AUTUM/WINTER.*** Situated on the edge of Abergavenny town with views of the Blorenge, Gavenny Cottage is the perfect little base for any walking, cycling or foodie break away. Inside you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The property is modern inside and has an equipped kitchen, wi-fi, smart TV, comfy seating and dining area and a large bedroom upstairs with extra seating. We have an electric stove heater, washing machine, iron and ironing board. We have two enclosed outdoor areas: a small private patio with seating and a raised patio with an outdoor swimming pool. The pool is 24 foot long and is 3 foot deep at one end and 6 foot deep at the other. It is open to our guests from 26th April through to 30th September but it is closed during autumn/winter. 'Covid-confident' stay We want our guests to have a very enjoyable, relaxing stay at Gavenny Cottage. We have all been living through a very stressful time so we want to remove as much worry as possible for your stay. Therefore we have introduced the following important changes to protect you and all of our guests, staff and community and to help minimise the risk of contracting and spreading coronavirus: - Enhanced cleaning on top of our already meticulous standards - Extra cleaning supplies and hand sanitizer/soap and available inside the cottage - Socially distanced check-in and out with no-contact key collection - Amended check-in and out times (check-in: 3pm and check-out: 10am) - Keys are disinfected before your arrival and Gavenny Cottage is not entered after its deep clean We are constantly monitoring and adapting to the most uptodate government advice and our changes and new rules will be constantly revised and are subject to change with government advice and best practices. We live next door to the property and will be available as and when needed. Plus, during the months where the outdoor swimming pool is open (April-September) we will be maintaining the pool on a daily basis to ensure it is safe and clean for our guest to use. The cottage is situated off a private lane that is shared with 5 other properties and small lawn mower motor business, hence the occasional lawn mower noise. The lane can get quite busy first thing in the morning and in the evening when the neighbours are going to and from work but you'll always get a friendly smile. Parking is available at the bottom of the lane by the roundabout or another parking area is a 2 minute walk away. Access is available for you to drive to the property to unload. The centre of town is a lovely 20 minute walk along Castle Meadows (or 15 minutes if you go along the main road) where you will find lots of cafes and restaurants, local market, shops and local attractions. As we are situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, you are spoilt for choice with walks, cycle routes and plenty of countryside to explore. Gavenny Cottage is easy to get to by car, bike or public transport. Abergavenny train station is 0.7 miles away (14 minute walk) away and the central bus station is 0.9 miles away (16 minute walk). The train track actually runs behind the property so don't be alarmed when the freight train passes.
