Medieval rustico, a leap in time
La Zampata: an amazing rustico in the heart of Curio's nucleo A leap in time, a unique atmosphere, a breathtaking view... Not to be considered if you can't stand the sound of bells, a little dust (the beams must be about 600 years old) and the discomfort of heating with wood. In the bedroom and the bathroom there are electric heaters. The bells ring between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Warning, the stairs are very steep, the fire place at the top is not to be used. The whole house is available to travellers (normally for 4 people, more travellers on request). If you want to come with children under 12, please ask us. On the ground floor, you will find the kitchen (normally with: salt, sugar, pepper, vinegar and oil) and equipment (glass kettle, Italian coffee maker, blender stick, toster, knife sharpener, pots and dishes), a small electric stove with a small oven, a small fridge, a wood-burning stove and a magnificent working fireplace. Wood for about 2 fires is provided. Then you will find some in the cellar for CHF 5.- the large basket. Be careful, the small logs are for the wood-burning stove, the large ones for the fire. On the first floor, there is a bedroom with two single beds (washable electric blankets or hot water bottles available). This south facing room is equipped with electric heating. There is also a small wardrobe and a table. The bathroom with shower / tub is also on this floor (small foehn, small first aid kit). A boiler heats the water during the night (it is therefore advisable to wash the dishes with a basin). The bathroom is equipped with a washing machine. In principle, it is not available to travellers, except on special request. On the top floor, there is a large bedroom with two single beds as well as the balcony (with hammock). The fireplace on this floor is out of order. You will find a large extinguisher as well as a fire blanket on the ground floor and a small extinguisher on the top floor.
