The Laurel Cottage - stay with Mallorie!

Our cozy cottage is nestled in the heart of the historic district, on the grounds of a Laurel landmark home, built in 1907. The Cottage is original to the property with all the lovely historic charm. Recently renovated, you’ll rest easy with all the modern day conveniences . Thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after each checkout. The perfect getaway for anyone wanting to experience downtown and HGTV’s Home Town! It's a complete cottage, a separate building from any others on the property. Newly renovated, historic property. Fresh and clean... with all the extras of a luxury hotel room, plus more! 1 comfy queen size bed with memory foam mattress and a sofa that folds out to a futon and one blow up mattress for overflow - with all the necessary bed linens. One bedroom, living room, bathroom, laundry room and kitchen space...and it is even more spacious than it looks in the pictures! This unit has it's own dedicated air and heat unit, and we change the filters frequently. Our COVID procedures include deep cleaning and sanitizing all bed and bath linens before each guest check-in., as well as any high-touch surfaces. While the guest house is a separate building, it’s in our backyard directly behind our home - separated by the driveway. We are available anytime you need us but we respect our guests’ privacy at all times. Our pool is a shared space with guests; however, we will occasionally close it for personal/family time by hanging a sign while in use. The historic district is home to the most beautiful houses, parks and stories. We love taking long walks on the brick streets and seeing all of the families out and about, enjoying our Home Town as well! Great shopping, food and fun in downtown, just a few steps away! We are a couple blocks from Amtrak train station, so don’t be surprised if you hear the train coming through several times a night. Also, it’s very safe in this neighborhood. Heads up! If you're staying during a Sunday or Monday, please note several popular local shops, restaurants or Museum may be closed. Please check our Airbnb Guidebook and with each business to get their hours of operations to make sure you get the most out of your trip! You can pretty much walk to anywhere you need in the downtown area. Coffee house, bakery, butcher, shopping, banking, restaurants, the Laurel Mercantile and Amtrak station are all about 4 blocks away. Our sister property, our second floor Carriage House, is a fun option for groups that are traveling together... book both if you need the extra space!
