The house has been totally refurbished since we bought it in 2015. It is now fresh and welcoming, while still maintaining the original 1780's character. The house is set on 7,000 square meters of land, and is ideal for children to play in: climbing trees, playing cricket and generally having fun! ABOUT DOAZON: This part of France is one of the most relaxing and peaceful. It is close to the Pyrénées, close to Biarritz, close to Lourdes, close to Pau and close to the Jurancon wine region. This means that there are many things to do or nothing to do whatever feels right. You can even drive to San Sebastian for lunch. Pau is a lovely old city and is the home of the oldest golf course outside the British Isles. The house is in a small village and it is wonderfully relaxing. Its takes about an hour to walk around Lac de Daozon or you can while away a few hours by fishing in the lake.
