Songbird House 'Nest' features a brand new full size bed and mattress and is perfect for one person. Cozy and luxurious. Large semi-private bath. Free wifi. Stroll down to the pier to a friendly neighborhood bistro (Sully's) as well as a pizza. There's also a little market and pizza place... or less than 2 miles up the hill you'll find Clearwater Casino for more restaurants, gaming, entertainment and spa. At this time we are asking that our guests be vaccinated against covid 19 Songbird House is a great place to nest. It's has a jewel of a bedroom and so affordable! A comfortable, luxurious bed . Plenty of light when you want it and dark when you're ready for sleep. A spacious immaculate sometimes shared bathroom with fresh towels, shampoos and lotions. Free wi fi of course. You will find books and literature about local activities are in your room. Our living room and kitchen are beautiful, comfortable and clean. Help yourself to coffee, tea and granola in the Guest Cupboard. Our kitchen is well equipped but not large so...if you do plan to cook...we ask that you keep your meals simple. We do have a resident fluffy tabby cat named Bear who is friendly and pretty chill. He is strictly an indoor cat. Just a head's up in case you suffer from cat allergies. We ask that you respect our quiet hours from 10 pm to 7 am. If you are watching TV or listening to music, please use headphones or keep the volume low. Thank you! Our neighborhood is quiet, funky and charming. Take a four block stroll down the hill to check out Sully's for a beer, great hamburgers and salads, and friendly faces. Our dramatic new pier has a great view of the boat traffic and Seattle skyline. Bus routes to Poulsbo, Bainbridge Island and Kingston come right through Suquamish during weekdays. No buses on weekends however. Our guests have access to all of the public spaces including the kitchen, living room and patio and porch. My interaction with guests is friendly but minimal. I will usually be here to welcome you, give you a tour of your rooms and the kitchen. I can offer many fun suggestions for things to do nearby and will be as helpful as I possibly can be. However, most guests prefer to be left alone to come and go on their own. I respect that. Think of me as a concierge. I love the Northwest because it is lush and green, and Suquamish is no exception. It's such a treat being close to the waterfront. Suquamish is a tiny town sandwiched in between larger Bainbridge Island and Poulsbo so....there's something for everyone. Clearwater Casino is one mile up the road with it's entertainment, night life, restaurants and spa. On a quieter note, there are three terrific restaurants just a 4 block walk from our house, right near the waterfront and fishing pier. Buses to neighboring towns come right through Suquamish on weekdays. The bus stop is only two blocks away. A short ride to Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo or Kingston where you will discover marinas, shopping, movies and parks. Going to Seattle is simple too. Drive to the ferry terminal on Bainbridge and either park and "walk on" the boat, or take your car on to the boat. It's a 35 minute crossing to the city. The ferry ride is a unforgettable experience and you may even see some orcas. At Songbird House you always get a lot of value for a very low price. It's a lovely place to nest. We hope you agree.
