La Torre, un paradiso sul golfo di Policastro
Suggestive 16th century tower restored in a private park with terraces and a beautiful garden of olive and eucalyptus trees on several levels on the most naturalistic and unspoiled stretch of coast of Cilento. The tower is 50 meters from the sea and 1.5 km from the village of Scario. Optimal for groups. The functional subdivision of the tower allows several families and friends to share the holiday even independently. July and August: minimum 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday. The ancient Tower consists of two independent floors: a ground floor with 4 beds and a first floor with another 4 beds. The two floors can be completely autonomous if desired. The first floor, which is accessible via steps, consists of a double bedroom with private bathroom, and an open space with sofa and two single beds (double use if desired). The fully equipped masonry kitchen is located on the outdoor veranda among the olive trees and eucalyptus trees, where there is also another side service with shower, embellished with Vietri tiles plus an outdoor shower. Next to the veranda there is also a barbecue for pleasant evening grills. The ground floor, an open space with a double bed and two single beds, has a bathroom and an internal fitted kitchen, has a large front terrace and a side terrace with a shaded gazebo, both overlooking the Gulf of Policastro. On the roof of the tower, which is reached by an external stone staircase (closed for safety by a gate for children whose access must be supervised), the terrace is exceptional: the view is 360 over the entire gulf, the sunsets are splendid , perfect for an aperitif after the sea. Overall, the tower has the possibility of 8 beds, 2 kitchens, one inside on the ground floor and one outside on the first floor, 3 bathrooms, one on the ground floor, one on the first floor, one outside and an external shower. You dine outside in the shade, cooled by the mistral breeze, relax, read, listen to music in the park, play on the terrace. It is a special place, quiet, fresh, vast green spaces for outdoor dining even with many friends, the roof terrace is ideal for romantic meetings or sunbathing. Torre dell'Oliva enjoys a splendid view over the Gulf of Policastro and Mount Bulgheria. At sunset the cliff of the gulf turns pink and the white Christ of Maratea is outlined in the distance. Guests have access to the entire tower. The accommodation is not suitable for people with reduced mobility due to the presence of stairs. The nearby town of Scario is a small fishing village in the municipality of San Giovanni a Piro, overlooking the wonderful Gulf of Policastro. A place - this - where you can admire a luxuriant nature, a transparent and uncontaminated sea and the classic hospitality of Campania, able to make you always feel at home. Several excursions depart from the port of Scario to one of the park's most attractive locations: Punta degli Infreschi (not far from Marina di Camerota). The coast that goes from Scario to Marina di Camerota is dotted with karst caves, coves that can only be reached from the sea and Saracen watchtowers. Furthermore, the waters of this part of the gulf are very clear and rich in marine flora and fauna, probably due to the karst nature of the rocks and the consequent presence of underwater springs of fresh water and at a lower temperature. The scarce urbanization first and the establishment of the park then made it possible to maintain a considerable landscape value and a very low level of pollution difficult to find in other coastal locations. Guests will have the opportunity to use n. 4 umbrellas and related deck chairs on the equipped beach opposite (Lido Marina dell’olivo), an excellent lido where you can also enjoy summer breakfasts and lunches. ATTENTION: as the tower is a historic building, it has very thick walls and the telephone line is not stable inside. There is no WI-FI. The best lines they take out are Vodafone and Tim.
