Inviting king-sized bedroom with en-suite

We have recently extended our home, as part of a major refurbishment, to include a downstairs bedroom with king-sized bed and an en-suite. It’s a comfortable inviting room with space for you to unpack and feel at home. A kettle, selection of teas and coffee are provided with fresh milk on arrival. There is a TV and tiny fridge. You also have your own enclosed, mini-patio which is accessible directly from your room. We are a COVID caring household so will disinfect the room before your visit. Please be aware that we are still refurbishing the house but rest assured that the areas you will be using are all complete. Mini-patio We want you to be comfortable during your stay and will either be ‘on-hand’ or available by text or phone to help you with any queries/needs. Downton is a lovely village just 6 miles outside of Salisbury and 1/4 mile from the New Forest National Park and 6 miles from Fordingbridge. There are numerous pubs locally and one within 5 mins walking distance. We are only a few hundred yards from the famous ‘Moot’ Norman fort earthworks and 200 yards from the Avon Valley way. There is a bus stop 1 min walk from the house where you can catch buses which will take you into Salisbury, Fordingbridge and on to Bournemouth. The Avon valley way is 200 yards from the house so ideal for backpackers and walkers. We have a friendly cat and a rescue dog who can be nervous. Neither are allowed in the suite. The dog can be a little barky on arrival but soon settles down. We also have some koi fish but they rarely stray from the pond! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we do not offer breakfast or meals. There are plenty of places to eat and drink locally.
