The cottage is located on Melrose Park, an historic district property established circa 1835 (European settlement). Brett and Deborah reside in the Homestead and can attend to any issues that may arise, however the cottage is far enough away to provide complete privacy for guests. Melrose Park is a working farm, nestled amongst some of Mudgee's finest agricultural land, rising from the banks of the Cudgegong River to the slopes of Mt Frome. Cattle, sheep, vineyards and lucerne farming are conducted nearby. Melrose is just 6.5 km from Mudgee. Local tours will pick up from the property and bike hire companies will deliver bikes to guests. The bathroom is within the cottage but accessible from an outside door.
