Cottage on Half an Acre | Pet & Child Friendly
No. 19 is a charming country retreat, set on half an acre, with all the luxuries that the magical Trentham has to offer - just an easy stroll away. A timber deck overlooks the backyard with plenty of green grass for the kids and furry playmates to run around on. Walk inside to a cosy home complete with wood fire, comfy big couch, and spacious bedrooms. 1 main bedroom with queen bed, second bedroom also with queen bed, and the study allows for quiet time reading books on the sofa. Keep cosy and warm by delightful wood-fire in the lounge and curl up with a hot cuppa on the comfy couch on a chilly Winter's day. In the warmer months, spend time soaking up the sun on the back deck and out in the garden, with plenty of lawn and greenery surrounding you. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, where you’ll find modern appliances including a dishwasher and an oven that cranks to very hot! This is a family friendly place that also includes a kids’ table and chairs for fun activities and kids’ bookshelf with plenty of books for the wee ones to get suck into! The office/study is a great place to WFH and also has a whole wall of books to browse if that is of interest. This cottage is a quaint retreat on a quiet, yet friendly street. Up the road on the short walk into town you’ll find a park, playground and the pool which is free to use in Summer! In our printed guest guide we recommend some great eating spots including our favourites: Trentham General, the Cosmo hotel and RedBeard Bakery plus things close by to see and do! Getting around by car or bike is your best bet. There's plenty of parking both in the driveway and in the quiet street. Available to phone or text. A nice and easy stroll, under 10 minutes, will take you up to Trentham's High Street which is nothing short of wonderful. You'll find delicious coffee and tasty food at Trentham General, handmade, authentic sourdough bread, woodfired in their historic Scotch oven at iconic Redbeard Bakery, along with chef Annie Smithers' French farmhouse style kitchen, du Fermier. A stone’s throw away is the Wombat State Forest where you can take pleasant walks surrounded by nature on well marked tracks, including Wombat Trail where you’ll find the old Trentham Racecourse. All that remains is this walking trail, which follows the original curve of the racetrack. Trentham Falls are a short drive out of Trentham. You can discover all the area has to offer including the famous heart of the spa country in Daylesford (20 minute drive), and Kyneton with its beautiful Piper Street (also 20 minute drive). Car or bike is best.
