Very calm, with just 8mins drive from the lake. Sauna in master house capacity of 5 pers. Linen and towels are provided. TV, Wifi, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, etc. Freshly filtered spring water is pouring from the small taps in the kitchen. If you wish you can also take a couple of bottles home with you. Supermarkets, movies, etc.: In Balatonhenye there is only a small shop, but the essentials are there, eg.bread, milk, kolbász (HU sausage), etc. Only open in the morning and afternoon, check in the centre of the village. There is also a bigger shop in Köveskál or Kövágóörs. The best supermarket in the vicinity is in Balatonakali approx 15mins drive: (FÉK, ABC, Akali - check web) You can also try some traditional HU dishes and cakes, pastries in the resto next to it, and do not miss out on the strudel (rétes). This is more for the traditional HU kitchen lovers, not really a foody experience;) You can find movies/malls/bigger supermarket in Tapolca (15mins), Veszprém (35mins), Balatonfüred (40mins). For skiing in the winter time you need to go as far as Eplény, 10 minutes drive from Veszprém. (skiarena in Eplény) Outdoor termal bath in Heviz (+-50mins drive - check web). For summer the nearest beach is Zanka or Révfülöp (8mins drive). It is also possible to rent bikes from us (except winter). Easy access by car from Budapest (approx. 1.5 hours). Public transport: nearest train station is Révfülöp (direct train from Budapest). There are bus connections to Balatonhenye, please check time table online.
