The Log Cabin at Historic Oak Hill Farm
The Log Cabin at Oak Hill Farm, dates back to 1790. This was the ancestral home of the Lodge family who came to Loudoun County in the late 1700s from Chester County, PA. Oak Hill is featured as a historical site in Eugene Scheel's historical map -Snickersville Turnpike, Loudoun County (1997), and is still a working farm today. Please note that the full bathroom is on the lower level and may not work for all guests. In order to preserve the experience at Oak Hill, we do not accept pets. The Log Cabin at Oak Hill Farm is a place for you to reconnect with yourself, a loved one, and history. With relaxing country views, you will be within easy reach of wineries, breweries, antique shopping, golfing, hiking (Appalachian Trail Head is near by) and dining. Enjoy the surrounding area, or sit down and start that book you always wanted to write. The Log Cabin itself has a beautiful first floor that includes a wood stove and cozy sitting and dining area. A queen size, four poster bed awaits you on the second floor. Additionally, there is an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances for you to cook or warmup a meal on the lower floor. Please note that the only full bathroom is also on the lower floor. Situated on 20 acres, the Log Cabin is located off of Route 7, about 1½ hours west of Washington DC in Loudoun County. While the cabin is ideal for a relaxing getaway, if you plan on working wifi is unreliable. Additionally, if you need to watch tv, you must have an Apple ID password, and access ultimately depends on the internet. You will have an entire log cabin for you and your guest to enjoy! Due to the historic nature of the cabin, we can only welcome small dogs, no more than 20 lbs. Please select additional guest per when booking. A $50 pet fee is due upon arrival. Please reach out to coordinate payment. We have great tips for local wineries, breweries, and antique shops. Feel free to reach out to us during your stay. Many of our neighbors are working farms. You will see Alpaca, Llamas and Horses. Dirt Farm Brewery and Bluemont vineyard are just a few minutes away. You can see our farm from both - bring binoculars when you visit. Upon arrival, please park in one of the three parking spots located in the “U”- shaped hedge. The hedge will be on your left-hand side. Languages: English, Spanish and Greek
