Thanks to its location you can enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities, such as surfing, sailing, as well as hiking, mountain biking and other sports. One kilometer away is the beautiful town of Pechón, one of the most charming towns in Cantabria where you can enjoy its gastronomy and its people. The bucolic town of San Vicente de la Barquera, located just 10 minutes by car, is a perfect place to go sightseeing during the day or walk with an ice cream after a day at the beach, or spend the day on the spectacular beach of Oyambre, in the Natural Park known as its beach. Another place you shouldn't miss is Comillas, where you can visit one of Gaudí's architectural works: El Capricho. Both in Comillas and in San Vicente de la Barquera it is easy to find good restaurants and shops of all kinds. Every week they have a nice and complete market. Less than half an hour away, in Santillana del Mar, are the Altamira Caves, famous for housing remains of cave paintings. Nor can you leave without knowing the Picos de Europa, where you can do countless hiking routes and be impressed with its landscapes, as well as visit the tourist town of Potes, located in the mountains of Picos de Europa, or ascend more than 700 m thanks to the Fuente Dé cable car to enjoy incredible views.
