Big & Cozy House in lovely small agriturismo

We are a caring, family run, small (2 house), artistic, peaceful agriturismo nestled in the unspoiled nature of the Garfagnana with beautiful mountain views. You can stay here and enjoy countless possibilities that nature offers us...within walking distance from 10th c. historic church, river, forest hikes, train station, main road-S.R. 445 connecting Lucca & Aulla. There is a lovely pool, vegetarian restaurant ~ where we cook healthy, organic meals & have yoga classes & a children's playground. Our large lovingly restored barn ~ Casa Iris ~ is surrounded by beautiful views and nature. The ground floor has one large bedroom with a queen size bed and a single bed (both with orthopedic mattresses) and a small bathroom with shower. A large fully equipped kitchen, sitting/dining room with open fireplace and a pullout couch. There is a lovely portico with a large wooden table for eating or relaxing outside. First Floor has one large room with two sets of bunk beds, and handmade hammock chairs, a queen-size bedroom and a lovely double bedroom with two twin beds. There is large bathroom with shower & bidet. All of our guests are welcome to use the lovely outdoor swimming pool with beautiful mountain views, children's playground, bicycles and WiFi and play with our cozy cats and friendly dogs for no extra charge. We can offer healthy, delicious, vegetarian, seasonal breakfasts and meals for an extra charge. We have weekly yoga classes and massages with an internationally trained qualified massage therapist. We are a small, creative centre and we are always offering different happenings and possibilities. Our own home is next door , so we could be easily available if there is a need. the houses are facing different directions so there is a feeling of privacy. Some times we do share morning coffee or an evening bonfire, wine and music :) We are nestled in the foresty hills of the Parco Alpi Apuane in the Garfagana. Here nature is still unspoiled with calls of deer at night and unwanted visits from wild boar if the garden gate is left open. Here many beautiful nature walks can start right from your doorstep. Each season offers different possibilities and activities to be explored such as: - Hiking - Mountain biking - Caving - Canoeing - Horseback riding - Paragliding - Skiing - Mountain climbing …not to mention an abundance of medieval festivals, crafts, music, food, museums all steeped in the rich cultural traditions of the area. A bus stop and a train station are just in Poggio, about 1km. away from us .Pisa airport is only one and a half hours away & we can bring our guests to and from the airport if there is a need.
