A 200 year old cottage/ annexe with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. Large open plan living area with large wood burner. Fully fitted kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. One bedroom with a large walk-in wardrobe and en-suite shower room, a large hot tub situated outside approximately 30 feet from the door of the cottage. On the edge of the Brecon Beacons, Surrounded by farmland, set in two and a half acres of private woodland. Peaceful and tranquil Check in is anytime after 3pm The cottage/annexe is open plan with timber lined vaulted ceilings and a large wood burner. The bedroom is neat and cosy with a large walk in wardrobe. The shower room is tiled and has a double shower . If you are bringing your pet with you please ensure that you inform us when booking. The annexe is attached to the main house and is self contained but is used constantly by us when we do not have guests staying, please remember that this is part of our family home. Sole use of the cottage, sole use of the raised decking area that has a gas BBQ and a Chiminea at the side of the cottage. Use of the woodland and also the raised decking area and summer house along side the river. We are usually about to chat, have coffee together or to share an evening sun-downer, but we also give you space to enjoy your privacy. We are in a rural location, there are no street lights so it gets very dark . There is no street or road noise just the birds and livestock during the day and the owls and occasional fox at night. Wales is mountainous and you will be hard pushed to find flat land near us so be prepared and wear your walking boots. The boutique town of Llandeilo is 7.5 miles away with a wide range of speciality shops, lovely coffee shops and pubs, The Pen-y-Bont pub is 3 miles away a shorter walk cross country is you are feeling adventurous. Carmarthenshire is seeped in history with more castles, stately homes and historic buildings than you can see in a week, eat a cream tea on the Gwili railway steam trains, pan for gold at the Dolaucothi gold mines or watch the feeding of hundred of red kites and the feeding station - all within a 20 minute drive. Carmarthen is our nearest large town with the usual shops . Directions : From the M4 take the second exit at the Pont Abraham roundabout signposted Carmarthen A48 for 3.8 miles. At the Crosshands roundabout take the 4th exit signposted Llandeilo Road A476 for 1.5 miles. Turn left onto the B4297 and follow this road passing through Maesybont, Penrhiwgoch, and Dryslwyn. At the cross roads (with the A40) go straight over, passing Bryers Mazda garage and the Community shop on your left. Carry on this road over the bridge, turn right immediate in front of the Cwrt Henri school (this is normally flying a green flag). Follow this winding road after about 1.5 miles and you will see a small grass triangle with a signpost, follow the road to the right signposted Capel Issac. Bwthyn Barcud Coch is a few hundred yards on the left hand side and is clearly signposted. Please note the driveway is half a mile long and is a single track leading first to Rallt Isaf (the owners' house) - just past this is the holiday cottage on the right hand side. We require your full address when you book the cottage.Please do not visit if you feel unwell or if you have been in contact with anyone who is poorly. Please do not travel if you live in area that has local covid restrictions, you will be turned away. Although we do have great Wifi / broadband for guests with great speeds this is a rural location and therefore we do not have access to Super Fast broadband in accordance with most of rural Wales.
