Stanwell Park Stunning Beach House

Beautiful architect-designed home in picturesque Stanwell Park, just over an hour's drive from Sydney. Nestled amongst the trees on the edge of the Royal National Park, and only a five minute stroll to the beach. The entire three-level house is yours to enjoy, and comes with everything you'll need for a relaxing holiday in all seasons. Enjoy surfing at the beach, bushwalking in the national park, having a coffee at the local cafe, or playing a board game in front of the fire. Our beach house spreads over three levels. There's two bedrooms (including master bedroom with ensuite) on the upper level. The middle level is the main living area, with a giant deck for entertaining, kitchen, a dining room, luxurious lounge area with fireplace, a media room with movie projector for watching movies, or anything streamed from the NBN, and a large BBQ area. The ground level has two further bedrooms and another lounge area opening onto a lush tropical garden with veggie patch. All bedrooms will be made up ready for your arrival. We include all bed linens, and towels. We also include fire wood for the fireplace. Groups of up to 8 will be comfortably accommodated in the four bedrooms. Please note that there are two internal staircases in the house (see house plan). This may make the house inappropriate for young children or people with mobility issues. The entire house and garden is yours to enjoy. Do take care not to park across our neighbours' driveways. Depending on your arrival date we may be able to greet you on arrival and show you around the house. Otherwise our information booklet includes tips for the house as well as our recommendations for the best places for coffee, dinner, and sight-seeing. Our house is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Only an hour south of Sydney, it is the very first beach after the Royal National Park, hence the whole area is teaming with colourful native birdlife. Stanwell Park beach is famous for its surf break and very popular for board riders. For body surfers there's a safe patrolled area. Stanwell Park has the ambience and attitudes of a friendly country town. Be prepared to enjoy a conversation with the neighbours and other visitors to this special enclave. If you want to explore the south coast, in general, you'll need a car. However if you want to totally get away from it all, you can take the train from Sydney to Stanwell Park station and spend your holiday walking to the beach, the local cafe, and exploring the Royal National Park. There is also a bike track that runs from Stanwell Park all the way to Coalcliffe Ocean Pool and beyond. Be aware that Stanwell Park has limited shopping - we have local cafes and a bottle shop that also sells fresh milk. Fresh sourdough bread is sometimes available (it sells out quickly) from ‘Loaf’ cafe. The closest supermarket is in Helensburgh, which is a ten minute drive to the north. Helensburgh has butchers, bottleshops and restaurants. We recommend 'Raya Thai' for dinner. Respect for Neighbours: Stanwell Park is a special community. It is a privilege to share in its amenity, environment and community. Parties are not permitted under any circumstances. This means that the house is only to be used by people staying at the property. We also ask that the outdoor areas only be used until 10 pm, so as not to keep our neighbours awake. Please take care not to park across neighbours' driveways. Respect for the Environment: The entire property is a non-smoking environment. Don't feed the native birds, they thrive on naturally-occurring seed and nectar from the native plants in our garden (they do not thrive on a human's diet of bread etc.). Also, we are actively encouraging native frog breeding in our garden. Please don't remove tadpoles from the ponds (various diseases have drastically reduced frog numbers in Australia, moving tadpoles from one area to another can spread disease). We are very excited to be encouraging the native striped marsh frog and have a lot of tadpoles in development! Sort recycling from the landfill, and place in the appropriate bins. We provide a food waste container, and we will compost waste from separated food waste. We provide reusable cloth shopping bags for guests. Please use them during your stay to cut down on plastic waste. Make sure you do not leave any rubbish on the beach. We encourage all of our guests to leave the beach with all of their own rubbish and to "Take 3 for the Sea" - that is to take at least 3 extra items of beach litter with them. Children enjoy and learn from this activity, and the sea-birds and fish will thank you!
