Arkaidee Farm Guest Studio

Soak up the fresh air and distant rural vistas from the pool and deck on our 6 acre hobby farm nestled on the outskirts of the Southern Highlands and only 60 minutes from suburban Sydney. While staying here you are welcome to explore the farm at your leisure. The guest studio is self contained, with its own entrance and outdoor BBQ area. We live in the attached house and are out feeding the animals in the morning and evening. The guest studio is a lovely private self contained space with its own entrance and BBQ area. There is a queen and single bed, and an additional single rollaway bed. There is wifi and a tv with (Hidden by Airbnb) Chromecast. There is a kitchenette with fridge, toaster, electric frypan, microwave and cutlery/crockery provisions for 4 people. There is a private laundry/bathroom with a washer/dryer and a shower. Outside you can take a short rocky path to our gazebo lookout where there is another BBQ and beautiful views. While staying with us you are welcome to wander the property where you will find our growing orchard of fruit trees, our pool (lovely for a swim) and deck, and our paddocks. Teddy, our Shetland pony loves being fed carrots, as do our goats, Romeo, and Louis. Our alpacas, Bing, Orly, and Jaxson, roam freely on the farm and enjoy meeting new people. You are welcome to check for fresh eggs in the coop, or harvest some herbs or salad to use during your stay. If you like sitting by a fire and toasting marshmallows we have a firepit for winter months. You can pick up supplies from a local takeaway/deli only a short walk away. Menangle Country Club is a short drive. We ask that alcohol is not consumed as we do not drink. If you must we ask that you do it indoors only and take the associated rubbish with you when you leave. Guests are welcome to use the BBQs and firepit, the gazebo lookout for lunches, the pool and deck during warmer months, and the table tennis table. We live in the house attached to the guest studio and are available to assist with information about the local area and our hobby farm. Mostly we like to keep to ourselves so that you can enjoy a private escape. You will see us feeding the animals or doing farm chores during the day. Our place is in a quaint rural hamlet with lovely walks around town showing off acreage properties with a few local shops. The night sky is beautiful out here with few lights to take away from the bright starry sky. The entrance to our place is through an automatic gate and you can drive right up to the garage just in front of the guest studio. There is a train station only 500 metres from us. We recommend wearing closed shoes around the farm. It is a farm with animals so please use your common sense around them. They like friendly pats around their head and our alpacas are particularly curious to meet new people. Please supervise your young children. Close by, we have the Mt Annan Botanical Gardens, equestrian places for riding, Balloon Aloft at Macarthur, and the quaint rural towns of Picton and Camden, with lovely cafes. If you like adventure sports we have Wilton Skydiving, and Picton Go Carts both within 15 minutes. Camden and Cobbitty fresh produce markets on a weekend are also a lovely place to pick up local gourmet and freshly grown foods.
