Fully equipped kitchen, bathrm, sep queen bdrm , 2 living areas, dining , laundry. PLUS 2 sofabeds make 3 separate sleeping areas. Note: bed config. can take 5 max, (2 couples/ 1 single). You're not sharing a house. And you dont have to sit on the bed to have your meals in the same room! You have your own, fully self contained private apartment. The perfect spot to relax and recharge before or after your journey; avoiding Auckland's airport traffic jams . Or a great weekend base in the country, as a city-break. Your apartment's bedroom has a luxurious queen size bed: pillow choices, crisp cotton sheets and soft throws; a mega- comfortable pillow top mattress, walk in wardrobe with hairdryer, fluffy bathrobes and suitcase stand. Heat pump keeps the whole space comfortable. Stylish bathroom; shower, underfloor heating, heated towel rails, quality towels and toiletries supplied. In the lounge, the sofa converts to a comfortable double bed; we are happy to make this up for you. The smart layout of the apartment means two couples can share and retain privacy. A second sofa in the large dining/ second living area converts to a king single in its own separate room. An innovative 'double entrance' to the bathroom ensures privacy. Large lounge with leather recliners, and wifi-enabled tv (catch up on your Netflix), library and games, leather recliner chairs. An enormous dining room, fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave and fridge if you decide to dine in. Note: no extra 'cleaning ' fee. Your apartment has a washer and dryer, so you can do your laundry when travelling ( a bonus for travellers!) And yes, we have laundry powder for you as well! When you're ready, help yourself to a full breakfast catering to your specific dietary needs: locally-sourced produce, farm fresh eggs, as well as all you could wish for in a continental breakfast; choice of cereals ( including gluten-free), toast and locally made jams. And in season, you're likely to have fresh organic fruit from local farms. Or pick mushrooms from the field. This is provided and available for you to prepare in your own kitchen whenever it suits you...not to someone else's timetable. Private, quiet and peaceful, and plenty of space to call your own; browse the library, try locally-bottled wine, visit the local outlet for Savour The Taste jams, sauces and vinaigrettes, check out the amazing local Greenstone museum and shop, for fab gifts and souvenirs, catch up on your emails with free wifi and admire outrageously clear night skies full of stars. From your own deck you have the best view in town! Look across one of the village's iconic vineyards, prolific birdlife, panoramic views across to Lake Waikare and the mountains in the distance, and check out the nearby farm animals, or meet the local sheep and alpacas and baby goats. Chances are the wild turkeys may make an appearance in one of the paddocks. We want you to enjoy the peace of the countryside, but, if you want to watch a big game with all the atmosphere, there are two pubs within 3 minute's drive, where you can relax and watch on the big screen....or browse the wifi-enabled tv in your lounge. We welcome to motorsport fans; Hampton Downs is 5 minutes away, and we have safe off street parking and plenty of room for race cars and trailers. This is a 'chill and relax' place. It's all your own - you are completely separate from the main house. We're a well travelled business professional couple;happy to help you with suggestions for day trips in the area, or to Auckland's bright lights or Hamilton's cool café scene. Or you might want to visit east or west coast beaches, the nearby Ramsar- acclaimed Whangamarino wetlands, or take high tea at NZ's only tea plantation. A top street in the best little village in NZ. Close to everything but laid back and a real taste of NZ. Experience life in the country, at its best. Play a round of golf at the challenging Waikare Golf Club, or visit Miranda Hot Springs to relax your muscles with a soak in the hot pools. Five minutes to motorsport heaven, Hampton Downs. Visit wild west Raglan, or Hobbiton in Matamata, or the beautiful Coromandel and east coast beaches easily reached, and returned within the day. Come back to the comfort of your own private cottage to recharge. Relax with a glass of wine on your balcony, watch the hawks circling, and listen to the quiet rhythm of country life. Minimal ambient light at night means awesome night skies, stars and the Milky Way You'll need a car (but there's plenty of parking). You can reach Te Kauwhata on the intercity bus, and (by arrangement) we can collect you from the bus stop at Huntly ( 15 minutes away). Alternatively, we may be able to collect you from the rail station at Pukekohe....that's also a great way to return to the airport and avoid Auckland's peak hour traffic woes. We can arrange meals (with notice) to eat with us, or prepare something for you to have in your apartment. There is an additional cost for this (but we love cooking and creating great food). But, the local pizzas are highly acclaimed, and the TK Tavern has great meals Wednesday - Sunday evenings- just the place to relax. And, there's a thriving 'food truck' park most evenings in the village- choose from Thai, NZ mussels, or hamburgers. We look after a retired Guide Dog, who is available ( and welcome) for patting, but well fenced away and your area is entirely dog free at all times.
