Welcome to our peaceful Apartment in the popular Christkindlsiedlung by the nature reserve “Au”. Only minutes to the historic town center Steyr, Upper Austria. Enjoy the comfort of a home with a full-equipped kitchen, a cozy bedroom, a piano, reading chairs, a comfy extendible couch, a big TV, multiple setups for Homeoffice plus high speed internet, a terrace with lounge and electric grill, garden access and a view to the Damberg. Real wooden floors, self-restored furniture, an open space concept with lots of light, plants and Feng-Shui alignment make our apartment the perfect Airbnb to relax, unwind and recharge. In summer you can enjoy your breakfast with the morning sun on our terrace. Escape the heat under our cooling huge walnut tree. Round off the day with a BBQ, a glass of wine (or beer) and a view of the Damberg. In the cooler season you can play the piano in our sunroom, work on one of the desks, read a good book in our relaxing chair in front of the fire place, watch TV on our comfy couch, play cards or cook and bake in the kitchen with a view into the garden. The outdoor kitchen is not part of the Airbnb. For longer stays you will have access to the basement to do laundry. The rest of the house and basement is private. In the summer you can dry your laundry in the garden. Available on request are two bicycles. You can reach us via Airbnb at all times. My wife and I won´t be on site but my parents live next door. Steyr is situated in the Alpine foothills by the National park „Kalkalpenregion“, so perfect for (Half-) Daytrips for hiking, swimming, biking, sightseeing, skiing and so much more. Our apartment is perfect to explore Steyr by foot: - Historic town center (13min) with all kind of shops (small boutiques as well as Billa, pharmacy, dm, etc.), Castle Lamberg and town square, where events take place regularly including the weekly market (Thursdays & Saturdays) - Supermarkets (Unimarkt ca. 7 Min; Billa ca. 16Min.) - Farmers Market (Fridays & Saturdays) (14 Min) - City park incl. playground and Outdoor-Fitness area (ca. 10 Min) - Nature reserve “Unterhimmler AU“ (ca. 5 Min) with plenty of running tracks and places to swim and sunbath at the river Steyr including nude/nudist beaches. - Famour Christkindlchurch and the Christmas Post Office - Historical Museums railway Steyrtal (6 Min.) Public transportation – The bus stop „Gregor-Goldbacher-Straße“ is 200m away. Here you can take bus line 8 to (and from) the main train station “Steyr Bahnhof”, where you have connection to local and regional bus lines and the train. Car – Secure free parking on the street in front of the house. Others – Upon request you can borrow two bicycles. Covid-19 A key-box enables a contactless self-Check-In. There will be a 24-hours window between bookings to guarantee enough time for cleaning. The apartment will be cleaned thoroughly. There will be enough hand soap for you to use as well as other cleaning products and disinfect for surfaces. The apartment is part of a two-family home. So only the hall and the front is shared. The tenants of other apartment work during the day. So interaction is rare to not existent. Other During your stay you can use two bicycles upon request. Upon request you can do laundry. Also, upon request we can set up a baby travel bed and a baby high chair.
