Douro Valley offers a unbreakable sparkling on your eyes! Alto Douro Wine Region has been recognised by UNESCO since 2001, as a World Heritage. It appears as an outstanding example of a traditional European wine-producing region, reflecting the evolution of this human activity over time. Quinta da Xandica is in the heart of this region. It offers a real flavour of the vineyards, is located beside Tavora´s River, is placed with a peaceful environment and a constant bird wheeze, very relaxant! Quinta da Xandica is a very good option if you want to get to know the traditional surroundings and try a tour towards the emblematic Quintas. It is located in a very strategic place between Peso da Régua and Pinhão. You can also visit Quinta do Panascal - Taylors - by foot and also cross the mountains by the footpaths and get amazed by the viewing points. We offer a large double and private room for two people with a beautiful view over the river and the vineyards through your own room. You can also relax and refresh on a swimming pool. You can have access to the swimming pool and all the exterior area. I will be around for any question you need, suggestions and guidance. You are welcome! We are in the heart of Douro Valley, 4 kilometers from Pinhão and 20 kilometers from Peso da Regua . PLEASE VERY IMPORTANT : Don't go to Valença do Douro village because we are not on there, we are just beside te Távora's river, please see map below. You have many viewing points close to our Quinta, vineyards, good restaurants points, boat tours and wine tastings. We are neighbours of Quinta do Panascal - Fonseca Guimares/Taylor's Partnership. You can walk by our own vineyards, own olive grove, farm and fruit trees. From our terrace you will have a beautiful view of the Tavora's river and you can discover the Douro River by walk. Please bear in mind: If you are coming from Porto you must pass Peso da Régua. When you get there you need to cross the old bridge (N2) and you will find a roundabout where you should take the first right. In the next intersection turn right again in direction to Pinhão/Tabuaço. So, you will be finally on the N222 and you must continue on this Road. You will pass the Dam on your left, continue on this Road and you will cross the first bridge (Ribeira de Temilobos), then continue 6 more km and you will find the second bridge (Tedo River) and keep going more 5km until the third bridge. Cross this bridge and turn right. There is a big sign of Quinta do Panascal. Take this little way beside the Távora's river and advance 1km where you will find Quinta da Xandica's entrance, on your left. We serve meals, breakfast and dinner.
