Self-contained cottage in the bush
Secluded and charming cottage hidden from the rest of the world. It's basic and rustic but has all you need plus its pot belly stove and double spa-bath. The perfect family get-away from the city. Relaxing. It's the complete escape. The kitchenette has a fridge & basic cooking facilities (crockery, cutlery, pots & pans, small microwave, toaster oven, 2 electric hotplates, kettle & toaster) & there’s gas bbq outside. Linen & towels are supplied & the beds have electric blankets The cottage sleeps 8, but it's living space is more suitable for up to 6. Spill out onto the verandas to enjoy the fresh air. Note the 3rd bedroom (with a queen bed) is attached to the outside of the cottage (i.e. you have to go out of the cottage front door and into the bedroom door which is under the same veranda). Note, in winter, the cottage is only heated by a pot belly stove. While this is glorious while you are in front of it, it can be a bit chilly away from the heat source in the middle of winter or a cold snap. Bring your winter woolies. In summer time, the cottage is nestled in the trees, so is generally kept cooler as a result. Full access to the 40 acre property (except around the other cottages) - explore the bush, have a hit of tennis up at the main house or laze about the cottage relaxing. On-site managers live on the property, or contact us through our mobile number or this site if you need anything - but otherwise if you are peaceful, you'll be left in peace. A true bush setting. Only 15 min drive to cafes (Kurrajong Village) or supermarkets (North Richmond). You could be a million miles from civilisation, yet you are probably only an hour or two from home (if you live in Sydney). You need a car to get there, parking available for a couple of cars. We're about 15 mins out of town, 2 km down a reasonably well maintained dirt road (ok in the wet). Also, there is no mobile reception or wifi. Take the time to disconnect and recharge without technology, while it sounds scary to start with, many guests comment that it helped them to connect with nature or themselves and this was one of the things that makes their time with us so special.
