Gorgeous and cute, perhaps a touch romantic, The Shanty is a cosy, comfortable cottage only 200 metres from the wharf, boat ramp and playground at serenely beautiful American River. It is light and airy with a wonderful outlook across the oval towards Pelican Lagoon which is perfect for kayaking and birdwatching. This is a great place for a family holiday or a relaxing, romantic interlude on magnificent Kangaroo Island.
