Suite has aircon, private lounge, bathroom and toilet. Base rate includes one bedroom. If you wish to have 2 bedrooms, please book a minimum of 3 or 4 guests. Third and fourth bedroom on request only and requires a minimum of 6-8 adults to book: BBQ facilities, continental breakfast, coffee/tea included 12 minute drive to major shopping mall, restaurants, city centre. Woolworths 6 minute drive. 30 minute drive to airport. Local Beach, 4 mins by car. IGA & Fish and chips 2 min drive. This house has three levels. The top level is the BNB suite with 2 bedrooms, lounge, bathroom The middle level has additionally two more bedrooms, private bathroom and additional lounge on request only. The pool level is where l live, so guests have privacy on top and middle level. Guests have full access to pool, patio dining, lounge area and bbq area GUESTS MUST REQUEST BEDROOM 3 & 4 at time of booking Please do not assume they are available Your space is just for you and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. You have the entire top floor of the house. The owner is downstairs in the pool level of the house. In your private lounge, TV, (inclusive of Netflix) two comfortable couches, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave. Lounge and both bedrooms have overhead fans for cooling. Aircon in lounge area If you require bedroom 3 and/or 4, this is on request only and these bedrooms are located on the entry level of the house. Another private bathroom is also available on request only. Crockery, cutlery, glasses and other implements are there in case you decide to eat in. BBQ facilities downstairs next to the pool. Any additional requirements , please just ask. Continental Breakfast is provided, bread, cereal, hot chocolate, tea and coffee (pods and instant) milk for same and basic breakfast condiments, jam , etc. The fridge is big enough to hold your basic necessities , plus drinks etc The suite does not have a kitchen . BBQ is located in the gazebo next to pool Alternatively Arkarra Tearoom is a short 5 minute walk, (1 minute drive) where you can enjoy a hot breakfast , lunch or a lovely coffee. Rest and enjoy by the pool or on the front verandah, the options are there for you to choose. This area is shared with the owner. Tranquility and serentity are what I enjoy most about living here and I am sure you will too. Off road, secured private car space is available for my guests Please be honest advising how many guests are coming. If you are a party of 2 and require two bedrooms please book a minimum of 3 or 4 people and speak with host prior to booking for bedroom 3 & 4. Thank you There are stairs to access the accommodation You enter the property via the double wooden gate entrance (painted grey) via a code. Park your car in the bay on your left. Go to the ramp at the end of the car port and collect your entry key via the key box at the bottom of the ramp. At the top of the ramp, to go to your accommodation, turn left. Pool area is on the right at this point Proceed to the far end of the pathway until you come to a grey retaining wall. Turn right Your entrance is the first door on the right, signed Kgari BNB Enter the building and follow the hallway signs to your suite. Your suite is on the top floor of the house via a flight of stairs. In most cases I will be there to greet you and show you how to enter. If that is not possible, please follow the above directions. You have total privacy of the entire top floor. The pool , BBQ and outdoor lounge area are outside on the middle area You can’t miss it Enjoy I enjoy chatting with my guests, but if not that is fine too. The emphasis here is guest enjoyment. I will do my best to make your stay a great one. A detailed book containing information on all things to do in Hervey Bay is in your room. Note. You have to fly into Lady Elliot Island so advance bookings are essential. I highly recommend this island which is part of the Great Barrier Reef and the under water lagoons are full of coral and beautiful fish Dundowran Beach is a little hidden gem, it is quiet and very pretty, but only a short 10 - 12 minute drive from Hervey Bay central, restaurants and the esplanade. There are the most wonderful lagoons throughout Dundowran Beach and of course the most notable is Arkarra Lagoon, which as it happens is only a 5 minute walk from my home. There you will see a wonderful array of birdlife, pelicans, black swans, herons, ducks and if you go to the little rotunda and wait a couple of minutes you will be greeted by the fresh water tortoises. There are a couple of walking tracks around the lagoon. Enjoy a meal or coffee and cake after your walk at the Arkarra Tea rooms. The beach is beautiful and as you can see from some of my photographs, quite spectacular at sunset or sunrise. The tides are huge and when out, you can walk over 800 meters to the waters edge from which many people fish. There are many walking tracks to get to the beach and generally a steady pace will have you at the beach in 20 minutes. Alternatively you can take the car and be there in five. I do recommend you have a car to get here, but there are buses and of course taxi. We are approximately a 25 minute drive from the Hervey Bay airport. There are buses to get from Dundowran Beach to Hervey Bay, taxis and Uber. Having said that, I recommend having your own transport as K'gari is a 10-12 minute drive from the centre of town. My property can also accommodate Caravans or larger vehicles with trailers or small boats. However it would be helpful to know this prior to your arrival. I live on the ground floor and therefore am present most of the time. however at no stage will I enter your suite without prior notice or your permission, during your stay. As it is a shared house there is give and take, noise wise between occupants however I do try to limit noise from my side of things. I do ask that you keep the noise levels down after 11pm, but that doesn't mean no noise. As you are on the top floor, you have plenty of scope to listen to television and enjoy yourselves after 11pm Finally the house has native forest both behind the house and across the road, so the possibility of coming across reptiles is there.
