Stay at a Heritage Organic farm

Ours is a home with a warm welcoming feeling with several sit outs, a fireplace and hammocks.Redstone Organic Farm is eco,people and animal friendly rustic home. Experience authentic country living . Not for the over fastidious. Every room has a double bed and 2 single beds or high mattresses. Inform host re the number of rooms you want or else the App will add Rs.800 for every extra person in the same room. On long weekends we generally prefer minimum 2 night booking. Try your luck anyway. The Space The Space Rooms available (in each room 1 double bed and 2 single beds or high mattresses ). For more than 4 persons a request for separate rooms needs to be sent for 2 rooms or more as per the group requirement. Else the App will merely add Rs. 700 for every extra person and we will assume you all will share the same room. This house is in a an organic farm opposite the Velocity entertainments and Cheese outlet . We are on the main road with easy access to Mahabaleshwar and Panchgani. Living area The living area is full of earthy pots and other old fashion pottery pieces to add to the aesthetic beauty of the organic farm. It consists of low floor sittings with cushions. The structure consists of wooden flooring and brick walls adding to its organic appeal. It also has couches and chairs made of cane and wood for higher sitting, with center tables. The windows provide an exceptional view of the surroundings. There are wooden racks full of books on eco friendly living and life style and also shelves displaying delicate crockery. It also includes an open and lively kitchen equipped with organic ingredients and made to suit an eco friendly living. There is a small wooden dining table with direct access to the kitchen. There is a library area well equipped with books on related topics of eco friendly life style and organic farming. These books are displayed on wooden and rustic shelves to reflect the ecological appeal. The rooms Master Bedroom This room is on the ground floor with direct access to the living area and kitchen. It has an attached bathroom equipped with a bath tub. It has a simple wooden king size bed and two separate single beds. There are wooden cupboards and an old style dressing table .This room will cost you Rs. 800 extra per day for all 4 persons. When making a booking please indicate that you want this room. We give preference to bookings for at least two days for this room . Do try your luck anyway. Room 2 This room is on the ground floor with direct access to the living area and kitchen. The furniture consists of a double bed and two single wooden beds and cupboards. It has a detached bathroom which can be accessed from outside the room. Room 3 This room is located on the top floor of the cottage which provides a beautiful view of the surrounding plantations. It has a detached bathroom which can be accessed from outside the room. It also has a king size bed and two separate single beds. This room is connected to Room 3 through a common door. Room 4 This room is located on the top floor and has simple earthy setting. It comprises of a double bed and three single beds. It shares a common door with Room 2, connecting the two rooms. The room has a detached bathroom which can be accessed from outside the room. Room 5 This room is also situated on the top floor giving a beautiful view of the plantation. It has an earth setting with a double bed and two single wooden beds as required with a basic wooden wardrobes. The room has a detached bathroom which can be accessed from outside the room. Room 6 This room is on the top floor with the view of the surrounding private plantation. It is styled in simple yet comfortable manner with a double bed and one , two or three single wooden beds or mattress as required and wooden wardrobes. The room has a detached bathroom which can be accessed from outside the room. Room 7 This room is located on a split level below the ground floor and has a detached bath room, with its entry from outside the room. It has an earthy setting with two single wooden beds and three additional sleeping single arrangements. Also wooden cupboards rugs and bedside tables. Guests can move feely around the bungalow and entire farm. Library to be used freely . The host requests that books are placed in the respective section when done with. Try your hand at planting, composting, harvesting with help from the host. Prior planning requested. Nestled between five hills Panchgani is an idyllic mountain retreat in the Krishna valley. Tucked away in the Satara district of Maharashtra, Panchgani is a well-known hill station of Maharashtra on the highway to Mahabaleshwar from Pune. Panchgani derives its name from the five hills around it. At an altitude of 1334 m it is just 38 m below Mahabaleshwar. These 38 m translate themselves into a breathtaking 20 kms approach from Mahabaleshwar, offering heart stopping views of the river krishna on one side & the coastal plains on the other. Panchgani is the quintessential hill station, with the Raj stamped indelibly all over it. It can be seen in the old architecture of the old British buildings, the Parsi houses, & the boarding schools that have been for a century or more. Amble along the walkways, thickly canopied by lush trees & vegetation & delights in the secrets you come upon. The Krishna, snaking through tiny hamlets, farms & ravines, hundreds of meters below. Visit table land, a flat mountain peak & feast your eyes on the coastal plains, looking like miniature water colors. Select a horse from one of the numerous stables & canter along uncharted routes through hidden lovers' lanes, to the caves & kamalgad fort. Or while away at the bazaar. Panchgani is one of the rare places that doesn't crowd anyone, yet in its own unhurried way deeply touches every visitor. Being right in front of the Velocity Entertainment Park, it has ample public transportation available around. We will help with arranging reliable taxi services. We can take you for specially planned trips to lesser known exquisite and pristine places. Picnics and entire days outing can be planned. A workshop on organic living can be organised inclusive of appropriate food and cooking lessons. If interested do inform as soon as you have booked to avoid disappointment. This needs understanding your specific interests ad planning accordingly. We have 8 rooms in the main organic farm house and 1 in the Annex. Rs 2800 for a room for 2 persons plus one if need be with an extra mattress or bed .Beyond this it will be Rs 950 for every extra person in the same room. There is just one room with an attached washroom. This will be for Rs 3800 double occupancy plus one if need be . Additional persons will for Rs 950 per head. We provide sleeping bags and blankets. Please bring your own sheets, pillowcases and towels. Our house is made of stone. Some walls and floors are plastered with mud and cowdung. When it says private room it means a separate room within the house. All the decks, sit outs, library, game room, large kitchen and indoor dinning room and indoor sitting area are shared spaces though now in COVID times we will allocate spaces so that a decent amount of social distancing is possible if our guests prefer it that way. Washrooms are on the ground floor. We have 8 washrooms all Western style with water jets - clean and well maintained - not luxurious though. They too will be specified for each room so that each washroom is dedicated to one group/ family.. If the respective guests so wish. They are not attached to the rooms except for the one mentioned above. Rooms are not shared but the house is shared....unless your group books all the rooms. Its a large sprawling house so our guests do not feel the sense of their privacy invaded. This is a farm house with dogs and cows in the cow shed on the level below the sitting room. Gates need to be kept closed to not allow the dogs in the sitting areas. A cat lives in the main house. This is a self service space. All plastic and non biodegrable waste to be taken away.
