Come stay in our newly refurbished apartment, with luxury finishes, in a beautiful cove where birdsong and waves are the prevailing sounds you will hear. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up, from comfortable beds, to birdsong and a day of adventure in one of the most beautiful places on earth. outdoor activities abound and there is so much to explore. Fishing, hiking, kayaking or just relaxing, at your own beachside paradise. Hosts Julie and Trish will make you welcome. larger bedroom has a queen bed and the smaller room has 2 x King singles. Fresh linens and towels provided Garden with seating adjacent to the apartment also tiled patio area immediately in front of the apartment with table for two with a view of the beach across the lane and two sun loungers for guest use. Your hosts Julie and Trish live upstairs and are happy to guide you towards some of the great activities available in the cove and the bay generally. Super quiet cove, with no street lights and only a handful of neighbours. Local birdlife is spectacular with the rare Kereru -a native wood pigeon and numerous Tui and bellbirds in residence. Local residents have a wealth of knowledge about the fishing conditions and best spots to take the kayaks. The mighty Takaka River can be accessed from the cove, as part of the river runs through the cove and can be seen at low tide. Takaka airport is 5 minutes from the cove, for pickups please check with your hosts. Because of the remote location, visitors will need their own transport. Takaka township is 10 minutes from the cove, for all shopping and restaurants. Always useful are beach shoes as our beach can have sharp rocks and shells. Beach towels are provided for guest use. 4 kayaks are provided along with 4 adult lifejackets for guest use within the headland and lower reaches of the Takaka River.
