Bryn Caled. Aberdaron : Stylish Coastal Retreat
Bryn Caled is a renovated, design led stone cottage dating back to the pre- 1700s tucked behind the old chapel on the hill overlooking Aberdaron bay. A contemporary extension has been added with a patio from the master bedroom with sea views over to Gull Islands. The cottage is graced with original artworks mid century furnishings and has a large wood burning stove to comfy up with on winter nights. There are sea views to be enjoyed from the front and patio over Aberdaron Bay. The living space in the old cottage has been renovated as an open plan living Kitchen diner and lounge with a small pantry Above this space is a mezzanine gallery with a double bed The new extension houses a single bedroom , bathroom and a large airy master bedroom with a large super king /queen bed Sea views can be enjoyed from the bed in the master bedroom. Parking for one car is available at the front of the cottage. (This will be developed in a few months for parking for two cars) We are available by telephone if needed The cottage is on the hill above the village. The pubs,& cafes are a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive into the village. There are two pubs and hotels in the village with one pub having an amazing location right on the beach where you may have a meal / drinks on a large terrace & watch the waves roll in or a splendid sunset (weather permitting) Many of the areas glorious coastal walks can be accessed directly from the cottage without driving. There are several stunning secluded coves nearby including the National Trust beach Porth Oer (Whistling Sands) Highly recommended is a sail out to Bardsey Island you will find details of booking the boat over at the NT Centre in the villiage. You will see dolphin, seals, puffins and an abundance of bird life. The island is stunningly peaceful and a visit stays in your heart forever . The lively villiage of Abersoch is a 20 minute drive from the cottage. There is a National Trust Centre and car park in the village however during busy times it can be difficult to get parking in the car park. there are plenty of other areas to park on the two roads into Aberdaron. One well behaved dog is allowed . There will be a £10 additional cleaning charge for the cleaner for a deeper clean . Please do not allow the dog onto beds or the sofa .
