Our dog-friendly annexe has an ensuite bedroom, with a second ensuite bedroom available on request, and living-room with well appointed kitchenette in a self-contained, ground-floor wing of charming house in a large peaceful garden in Nether Wallop, a pretty village within easy reach of Stockbridge, Porton Down, Andover, Romsey, Stonehenge and the Cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester. Guests have an independent front door/key and free parking in the drive. Our ground-floor accommodation is in a wing of our house, The ensuite bedrooms can be two single beds (for either 1 or 2 people) OR can be made into super kingsize double beds. Our guests have their own front door and the breakfast/sitting room has a new kitchenette comprising sink, two hotplates, microwave with grill, fridge/freezer, toaster and kettle They can also have the use of a washing machine, if needed. We have a large drive so parking is no problem, and in the summer the guests can sit in the garden if they wish We have a large garden and it is very quiet and peaceful here They have the annexe to themselves, and can use my laundry room if they need to use a washing machine or need larger freezer space. They can use the garden I leave the key in the key safe on the wall for them to come in when they arrive but am always nearby if they want help with any information they need. we are aware of social distancing! Nether Wallop (very quiet village location) was used as St Mary Mead for the filming of Agatha Christies Miss Maples series with Joan Hickson. The Church in Nether Wallop has pre 1066 wall paintings, uncovered about 20 years ago which are gradually fading but are very rare. Stockbridge, a lovely Georgian village is about 10 minutes drive with the River Test flowing through and several eating places, not to mention some very good individual shops (no chains). Our local pub in the village has closed but there is an excellent pub in our next-door village, Broughton, about 7 minutes by car. Next to is it s a very good Thai Restaurant Pub. I recommend both of these. We are conveniently placed for people working locally, Porton Down, Stockbridge, Tidworth, Andover and also close to many tourist attractions, such Stonehenge, Salisbury, Winchester. You definitely need a car here as the buses are very infrequent, and there are lots of places to visit. For gardeners, Mottisfont Abbey is a National Trust place and there is Hilliers Gardens on the way to Romsey. We are also equidistant from the Cathedral Cities of Winchester and Salisbury and not far from Stonehenge. We are in the beautiful Test Valley not far from the New Forest and conveniently placed to explore Southern England. We offer weekly accommodation for those working locally, such as Porton Down, Andover, Tidworth. . They can use the garden if they want to sit out in the summer
