Cliff House is a simple, yet comfortable home that borders Springbrook National Park with stunning views of the Gold Coast. Set on seven and a half acres of regeneration forest, you have the option to explore the short circuit walk around the property, wandering through the establishing orchard, or venture out of the back gate to Purlingbrook Falls hiking trail. TIP: Bring up a favourite book and set up on the front lawn with uninterrupted views from Burleigh Heads to South Stradbroke. The three bedroom, two bathroom block home comes with all the basic essentials you would need for a great getaway. It features a large country kitchen, dining table, lounge and sitting area with fireplace for those cool nights. All rooms on the eastern side of the home have views to the ocean, perfect for watching those beautiful sunrises. The home has purposely been left vacant of TV and wifi allowing guests to switch off and have a more 'back to basics' trip. The house is situated on the border of Springbrook National Park, 100m above the rainforest valley below. Sit out on the viewing deck with a glass of wine and cheese board while you listen to the sounds of the native wildlife. If you're someone who can't sit still for too long, wander through the private forest and you'll find a newly planted orchard springing to life. Go even further out of the back gate, about 200m, and you find the Purling Brook Falls circuit, a great walk that ventures through rainforest and under giant waterfalls. While staying in the house, you'll have access to all areas of the home besides a small storage room where I store a few of my own things. I will be available via email and phone and will always try reply asap. The area surrounding Cliff House is great for a hike or even just to sit in a cafe and sip a coffee and watch time go by. It also has the Springbrook Observatory which offers huge telescopes to help peek at great views of the nights sky. A five minute drive further up the mountain will take you to another group of hiking trails that range from four to seventeen kilometers long. If you've made it to Springbrook then you probably already have a car. Should the need to leave it behind arise, I'm sure you could put out your thumb and a friendly local would give you a ride down the mountain. Unfortunately there is no scheduled bus transfers. Springbrook doesn't have any supermarkets or fuel stations so guests need plan ahead and bring everything. The local cafes accept card and cash but there is no ATM on the mountain either. Cliff House does sit on top of a 100 meter cliff that does not have a fence. Children should never be left alone to play to their own accord.
