BREAKAWAY @ BLACKWOOD - VILLAGE VIBE, CLOSE TO THE CITY! If you want a relaxing, private place to stay amongst nature, but still be close to all amenities & Adelaide attractions, then you'll love our place! This spacious, updated 2 bedroom unit is comfy, inviting & equipped with everything you'll need. Located in the foothills, but so close to the City, Hills, Beaches, Flinders Uni/Hospital, Marion & McLaren Vale Wineries. Shops, cafes, restaurants & public transport are only a short walk away. The space has been recently updated (but still keeping a lot of original features for character) and has a lovely, fresh feel. Located on the end of a small, quiet group, the unit feels, and is, very private. It has its own street frontage, for easy parking right out the front. Or there is a secure carport at the rear. The bedrooms are spacious, with a queen bed in the master, and 1 king-single bed + 1 single bed in the second bedroom. Both rooms have storage and the master has a desk and chair as well. There is an enclosed rear yard with a deck if you want to enjoy a cuppa (or glass of wine) in the sunshine. You may even spot the resident koala or colourful, native birds (including kookaburras) in the trees. There is also a BBQ for dining outside on warmer evenings. Out the front is a nice outlook over a garden and trees. You can even see the train going past across the street (yes, you can hear it too, but guest feedback is that it’s not annoying at all). The place is tastefully decorated with a mid-century vibe and is fully equipped with everything you'd need for a pleasant stay. All linen is provided and the kitchen is fully equipped for cooking at home. Cot and high chair are available on request. We look forward to hosting you at BreakAway @ Blackwood! You can check yourself in via lock box, or I can meet you there if you'd prefer a personal tour of the place. You will have complete privacy during your stay. However, if you need anything, I live just 15 mins away, and can be reached anytime via mobile. And I'm always happy to meet you for check in/out if you prefer. Blackwood is a beautiful suburb located in the foothills of Adelaide, South Australia, with easy access to the city, beaches, hills and southern vales wine district. With its beautiful natural surrounds and connection to wildlife, the location is very relaxing and feels like you're on holiday, but with the convenience of shops, transport and amenities nearby. There are also some great places to eat and drink, such as Joan's Pantry and the Belair Hotel. We are located within walking distance to the train station and bus stops. And you can drive to the following destinations in under half an hour: • City/CBD: 20 mins • McLaren Vale Wineries: 30 mins • Glenelg or Brighton Beach: 20 mins • Flinders University/Hospital: 10 mins • Marion Shopping/Aquatic Centre: 15 mins • Cleland Wildlife Park: 22 mins • Hahndorf Tourist Area: 25 mins
