There's plenty to explore, with rolling hills, forest and heath land all on the door step and the most amazing views. You'll have the whole of Blackberry to yourselves. Which includes a cabin for daytime living and a quirky shepherd's hut which sits in its own small meadow and there's plenty of parking. The barn has been set up for self catering and you will find most things you need in it. Hot and cold water, log burner and logs, kitchen with oven and hob, sink etc, dining area and lounge, with an adjoining shower room. TV and vintage Hi Fi and Wi Fi. The Bedroom is the shepherds hut standing on its own in the meadow about 20 yds from the cabin. In here you will find a double bed and two single bunk beds, a small wood burner and oil filled radiator, the whole hut has been built with locally sourced Douglas fir and insulated with sheep's wool, its here you'll have the best nights sleep ever, that's if the owls don't keep you awake. Well behaved friendly dogs are very welcome, but must be at least 12 months old, sorry no puppies. For a charge you can even bring your horse should you wish, with stabling on site, and endless opportunities for riding out from the stables, but please ask beforehand. Location. People do not hurry in Shropshire. Mindful of a turbulent past when their ancestors held the gate between the wild Welsh borders and the orchards of England, they are now content to let the future take care of itself in a timeless zone. And Blackberry is right in the middle of that zone, you can step out of the door and explore the surrounding countryside, explore Iron age hill forts, ancient woods , streams and lakes. Or visit the historic market town of Ludlow with its mighty castle and vibrant market and superb restaurants. Church Stretton is just a short drive where you can wander on to the high moors of The Long Mynd, where bilberries and heather tint the hills rose or purple according to the season. The whole area is truly magical and very undiscovered. Berrington Hall, Croft Castle, Dudmaston Hall are just a few of the National Trust treasures in the area. Or if you're feeling more adventurous you could venture out to Ironbridge and visit all the museums it has to offer. The nearest village for amenities is Aston Munslow about 3 miles away with its garage, shop and pub. And in the other direction about 4 miles is Ditton Priors with a general store, post office, pub, butchers ,garage and great cafe 'The willows'.
