The Linhay is a purpose built holiday barn, converted in 2014 from a 200 year old Linhay barn in the oldest part of the village of Loddiswell. The detached barn is situated on a quiet lane with a secure garden overlooking the 14th century church. The Living accommodation is open plan with 4 bedrooms, two ensuite's, family bathroom and games room. There is also a fully equipped separate utility room. The barn is dog friendly, and has a wood burner, the ideal cosy space for exploring South Devon. Please note the following check in/out times: - Saturday changeovers - Check out by 10am on day of departure - Check in from 4.30pm on day of arrival CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION: For the safely of guests and our cleaning crew we request the above check in and check out times are strictly adhered to to ensure we can do a deep clean of the property. We politely ask that you strip all the beds (regardless of whether they have been used) and leave all the linen and towels in the bath. We also ask that you wash up before you leave / leave the dishwasher running with your final washing up items. The Linhay has been run as a successful holiday let for many years through Coast and Country. We became the new owners in March 2020 and live in the farmhouse next door. The Linhay has a unique layout due to it being converted from the original farmyard barns. The accommodation is all on the first floor with bedrooms in one end of the L shaped barn and the other end being open plan with a stable door and steps down into the garden. There is a large games room downstairs with a pool table and a large utility, which is ideal for coats and shoes and fully equipped with washing machine and tumble dryer. the sunny quiet garden has a picnic table which seats 8 and enjoys the sun from early morning to late evening. We are always happy to host dogs at the Linhay and ask that you let us know how many dogs will be staying at the point of booking. The garden is secure and there are lots of lovely walks from the door and within a short drive. Many of the local beaches are dog friendly, although some do have summer restrictions on parts so please contact us for more information. There are two off street parking spaces directly outside the barn, we ask that you park in the spaces provided and keep fairly tight to the garage doors. Further parking is possible on the lane or in the village, this is not subject to parking restrictions. We live next door to the Linhay and can be available for advice on the local area and walks, feel free to knock on our door with any questions, but otherwise we will leave you in peace to enjoy your holiday! The Linhay is detached from the house and has its own front door entrance, two parking spaces and private secure garden. Loddiswell is a South Devon village which is perfectly placed for access to Kingsbridge, the coastline and nearby Dartmoor. There are many great places in Kingsbridge to stop for a coffee or lunch, our favourites are Fika and Mange Tout! There are fantastic countryside walks around Loddiswell straight from the barn. Further information on local walks will be provided on booking. We are only a 20 minute walk from Avon Mill Garden Centre which is a great place to stop for a shop and coffee/cake or lunch in their brilliant cafe. There is a small shop and post office in the village a minutes walk up the lane from the barn which offers the usual bread/milk/ice creams etc. The village pub, The Loddiswell Inn is also just up the lane.
