Dining Room With an antique french table, window seats and feature fireplace this is a lovely space to gather for meals, boardgames or for planning your next adventure. Kitchen With all the amenities, and space for coats and boots, there is everything you need here to prepare the meals that will set you up for the days ahead. Please note that there is limited height of 6ft in the shower. Separate upstairs Toilet Outdoor Space There is a lovely cottage garden to the front. Being right at the edge of the village most of the passing traffic is limited to walkers or the occasional horse riders. A great place to relax in the sun. There is a further garden at the back with paving, flower beds and willow fencing. There are several places to sit throughout the garden including a secluded corner with bench, and table and chairs. Please note for children the front garden is not totally secure from the road. You will have the whole place to yourself, but your stay is important to us and we will be on hand by phone at all times to answer any questions you may have. Stourpaine is set in Cranborne Chase, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Hod Hill, the site of Iron Age and Roman Hill Forts, is just one of numerous opportunities to ramble or cycle straight out of the front door and with four long distance walks running through the village you will be spoilt for choice. The village also has a couple of playground which always prove popular with the children. A days outing often ends up at the White Horse for a well deserved drink and good food. The pub also houses the well-stocked village shop. Locally you can tour the Hall and Woodhouse brewery or explore the Army's Signals Museum. The town of Blandford Forum, sited on the banks of the River Stour, is the most complete small Georgian town in England. You are also within easy reach of the Jurassic coast, historic Towns and Castles, rolling countryside and sandy beaches.
