Snape Maltings which has lovely shops, galleries, restaurants and a concert hall is in the next village. Two renowned golf courses are nearby at Aldeburgh and Thorpeness. Thorpeness also has its own laid back style and wonderful boating Meare. Countryside with lovely walks all around. Of note are Dunwich Heath, Minsmere bird reserve, Rendlesham Forest, Southwold, Walberswick, Orford and Woodbridge (all within 30 mins drive)
