Lorne Cottage

Rustic coastal Cottage in the national park . Close to best hill walking in England. A basic three bed holiday cottage. One double with view over main street cottages,bunk bed room with sea view, single room with sea view balcony. Dinning/living room with solid fuel stove and modern kitchen. Downstairs toilet/shower. Central heating, solid fuel stove for winter nights. Well behaved dog allowed,no smoking. Basic 1700s cottage,please do not expect 5 star, great value base for a Lake District/sea Please do not book if you are not happy with a wet room toilet. Also note this is poorly draining and needs mopping after use. Lorne Cottage is set in the beautiful mainstreet of Ravenglass,seconds away from the sea. With views over to the Black Combe in one direction and Scafell Pike in site on a good day in the other direction. Eating and drinking can be had at the Ratty arms,The Inn or Pennington Hotel.Rose cottage provides coffees and snacks as does the Steam Rail cafe. There are numerous inn also around Eskdale and Wasdale. Food supplies can be had at Holmrook petrol station and co-op Seascale. Parking is in front of house,please avoid parking outside of other properties. Ravenglass is served by Rail and can be reached from any location. The cottage has a downstairs shower (Website hidden by Airbnb) a "wet" room will need to be moped after use. There is a combi boiler for hot water,the switch will need to be pressed down to put heating on. Check out by 10am please Parking is in front of house,please avoid parking outside of other propertiesAlternative parking at railway station. TV,signal can be poor for BBC,but this can be watched on BBC I player,which can be accessed via the "Roku" device. To use Roku,switch to AV and press ok on Roku remote.
