Luxury Holiday Gite with Pool

Luxury Holiday Gite Maison Muguet is an oak beamed converted house, sleeping up to 10 guests with a luxurious 10mx5m pool in scenic rural countryside. It is the ideal place for relaxing with family or friends. Maison muguet is situated in a peaceful hamlet called Chez D'Aigre, hidden in the gentle rolling countryside of the Charente Maritime, an area blessed by bright blue skies and, they say, more hours of sunshine than anywhere else in France apart from the Cote d'Azur. It's an ideal place for relaxing; for gentle cycling through fields of giant yellow sunflowers, or take a picnic to a nearby lake and have a swim. It’s the ideal base for exploring the surrounding area including the famous towns of Cognac and Saintes also within driving distance of many famous attractions such as Futuroscope, the fantastic La Palmyre Zoo near Royan and the beautiful old port of La Rochelle with its great restaurants, shops and Aquarium. The gîte is only 2 km away from the local shop for supplies and 10 km from Néré where there is a cash point, co-op, pharmacy and post office. There is also a bar/restaurant. Larger towns with supermarkets are 20 mins, at Chef Boutonne, Aulnay or Matha, all of these towns have lovely markets on certain days of the week. Aulnay has a market on a Sunday. We have a housekeeper who lives a short distance away, and will be available if needed. Bed Linen included. Bathroom towel pack can be hired at a cost of 10 EUR per person per stay. This is to be paid locally on arrival. Pool/beach towels are NOT provided The swimming pool is only available during the summer months of May, June, July and August.
