Beachaven REAR Cottage. WiFi & Kayaks - Ligar Bay.

Beachaven Cottages are two self contained cottages just across the road from the beach at Ligar Bay. This listing is for the REAR COTTAGE. We are 10 minutes to Abel Tasman National Park, great walking tracks and 2 minutes to cafes and general store. CLEANING AND LINEN ARE NOT PROVIDED. YOU NEED TO LEAVE THE COTTAGE FULLY CLEANED OR ASK US TO ARRANGE IT FOR YOU FOR AN ADDITIONAL $80. LINEN CAN BE SUPPLIED FOR $25 PER PERSON, PER STAY IF REQUIRED. (minimum charge of $50) Maximum of five guests. This includes infants who will be charged the same as any other additional guest. This differs from Airbnb pricing. The REAR cottage is a basic, comfortable, functional New Zealand holiday home. It is clean, warm, cozy, well equipt, has comfortable beds and is located in a stunning environment at Ligar Bay. The new kitchen contains all the basics you should need including a full oven with stove top elements, microwave, dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer. There is no coffee machine or BBQ. (There are public wood fired BBQ's on the reserve in front of the cottages.) There is free unlimited WiFi for guests. We have four kayaks to share between the cottages. They are sit in type so you shouldn't even get wet. Own washing machine and washing line. Carport great for loading the car during wet weather or keeping bikes and equipment out of the weather and view. There are stairs to both the front and back doors. The beds in the twin bedroom can be zipped together to make a King width bed. Ideal for two couples or use the singles for families. There is parking for one car in the carport and an additional car or small boat on the cottage driveway. There is a bathroom containing a shower, handbasin and the washing machine. There is a separate toilet room. - Minimal basic supplies such as soap, shampoo and toilet paper are supplied to get you started. After this you need to supply your own. BEDS Bedroom 1 - Queensize bed Bedroom 2 - Twin single beds plus a full size singe rollaway bed which is more suitable for a child or light adult. Lounge - King single size sofa bed. Guests have full use of the Cottage, washing facilities, washing line and picinic area. The only shared area is the driveway. The cottages are separated by a carport and the rear cottage picnic area. They are private from each other. The Rear cottage has a lovely sheltered private picnic area. We are always available by phone or email, plus we provide a second emergency contact. The cottage has comprehensive information folders containing contact and emergency information. Places to visit, bike rides, walking tracks, childrens favourite places, and driving times to the destination. It has been described as an information bible, the best guests have seen. We have owned and been renting the Cottages as Holiday Accommodation for 19 years. Ligar Bay has a mix of permanent residents and Holiday Homes. It is a small quiet beachside settlement. There is bush behind the cottages but we have houses both sides. 1.7 km to Tata Beach. The Cottages are a 10 - 15 minute drive from Takaka which is the hub of Golden Bay. The only bus that goes past is the Track Transport Bus to Abel Tasman National Park. In Takaka you will find a Fresh Choice Supermarket, restaurants, and a eclectic mix of basics and novelty shops. 5 minutes drive 3.6 km to Pohara where you will find a grocery store, golf club, tennis courts, basketball hoop, restaurants and cafe's. Perfectly positioned to visit Abel Tasman National Park, spectacular walks nearby such as Wainui Falls, Anatoki Salmon, restaurants, arts and crafts, Te Waikoropupu Springs, Farewell Spit or relax while enjoying the beach and sunsets. YOU NEED TO LEAVE THE COTTAGE FULLY CLEANED, tidy, do the dishes, empty the dishwasher and remove your rubbish. Instructions will be given for this. If you would prefer not to clean, we can arrange it for you for an additional $85 but you do still need to remove your rubbish, glass and bottles. YOU NEED TO BRING YOUR LINEN. (Bed sheets, pillow slips, bath and beach towels, bath mat, hand towels, kitchen tea towels) Duvets, extra blankets and pillows are provided. You also need to bring your toiletries, including toilet paper and all food for personal use. Minimal supplies are provided to get you started. If required linen can be supplied for an additional charge of $25 per person, per stay. There is a minimum charge of $50 to supply linen. Water is tank rain water. During the summer period we can have long dry periods so please conserve water at these times. Although we have never had a problem - purely as a precaution we recommend you BOIL DRINKING WATER. Large water jugs are provided for this.
