Just minutes to town by car, or enjoy a stroll along the Lions walk to reach the town centre. You will enjoy a beautiful brand new space with a fully equipped kitchenette, lounge, seperate bedroom, bathroom and private courtyard for outdoor entertaining. Complete with aircon/heat pump, quality linens and furnishings for your comfort. Situated in a quiet cul de sac, the Kowhai Hideaway is located at the rear of our property, and is fully fenced, gated and landscaped providing you with complete privacy. On street parking only is available directly in front of our property. Secure parking for boats and storage for bikes, ski's etc is available by prior arrangement. As we live in the main house my aim is to greet you upon arrival, however a lock box is available for self entry if required. During your stay we are available via text or phone as needed, and are more than happy to share our favourite places to eat and local attractions with you. Please note this is a fully functioning family home, complete with Dodge our super old British Blue cat and Bodhi our 5 year old Labradoodle whose sole purpose in life is to get pats and cuddles. While the animals are not permitted entry into the hideaway, you will likely come across them when accessing your accomodation. Two Mile Bay is a beautiful and popular area of Lake Taupo. Kowhai Hideaway is minutes to town by car, or enjoy a stroll along the Lions walk which is an easy flat walk along the lake edge taking you directly into the town centre. Glow E scooters are often available parked outside the Sailing Club also. Along the Lions walk you will also pass a cafe, coffee cart and ice-cream cart if refuelling is required! If you choose to head South (away from town) along the Lions Walk you will find plenty of beautiful picnic spots at Two Mile Bay, Three Mile Bay and Wharewaka. If you are heading towards Turangi or Mount Ruapehu, our location is fantastic for easy access to the main road.
