Ye Old Carpenter's Shop Coverack
Ye Old Carpenter's Shop is a one bedroom cottage in a court yard right in the heart of the picturesque fishing village Coverack situated on the Lizard peninsula - an area of outstanding natural beauty. Downstairs there is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with wood burner. Upstairs is an open plan bedroom including a shower, separate bath and super king bed. The tidal beach and beautiful fishing harbour are a moments walk away. The south west coast path runs through the village. The Cottage is rented by the week from Friday to Friday. The time of arrival is from 3 pm - departure 9 am. Please vacate the cottage by 9 am as the cleaners start promptly at 9 am - thank you. There is no parking at the cottage, on road parking is at the bottom of the drive this can be busy in the summer period. There is a large car park as you come into the village which is a five minute walk away, there is no formal charge it is a charity donation. Guests can reverse up the narrow drive to the cottage to unload/load their holiday luggage. The area outside of the cottage must be kept clear. Access to the cottage is up a drive with a slight slope. All amenities in the village are within a very short walking distance. The whole cottage. Outside the front door there is a bench to sit on whilst enjoying the sunshine. I live in the village and can assist with enquires if required. There are instructions in a file in the cottage which I hope cover the information required whilst you enjoy your stay. Happy to be of assistance though if any further information is required. Coverack Village Store has fresh local produce and newspapers. There is a Sainsbury's and Tesco Store in Helston approximately 10 miles away they will both deliver to Coverack. About two miles away in St Keverne there is a shop that caters for day to day shopping. The local pub is the Paris Hotel, which serves food and also runs quiz nights. The Bay Hotel also serves non residents. There is also the Lifeboat restaurant and a couple of beach/craft shops. Elizabeth's Cornish pasties and other lovely home made treats. Roskilly's Ice Cream at Archies Loft and pizza etc. Water sports include windsurfing, kayak and paddle board hire and instruction situated at the harbour. There are many village run social events through out the year, including RNLI day, Carnival, Bonfire Night, Christmas Lights, Pisky Pal Trails etc. There many public footpaths on the door step, that take in the amazing scenery. There is a bus service from the village. There are a number of car parks in the village which have a charity donation box. There is no parking at the cottage. On street parking is at the bottom of the drive on the road or in one of the car parks (a five minute walk away) with an honesty charity donation box. The drive to the cottage is very narrow, you can reverse your car into the drive with care to off load and load up your holiday luggage.
