The yurt has a kingsize bed, already made up, kitchen unit with hob, sink and fridge, together with cooking utensils, cutlery, etc. A woodburning stove to keep you warm as you snuggle up on the sofa. A private wetroom with Separett Villa 9000 eco-toilet and shower next door. There is a BBQ/fire pit to spend lovely quiet evenings outside under the stars with no light pollution. Breakfast hampers on request tailored to your taste, dietary requirements and budget with locally sourced foods, homemade marmalade and jams (charges apply). The yurt and shepherd's hut (also on Airbnb) is set in Wynards Farm small holding which offers guest accommodation at the main house. There is parking close by to the yurt, although you can park outside to unload. There is space for storing bikes. You are free to walk around the garden. We are up a track and there are footpaths and bridleways that leave straight from the property. My husband, Ray and I run Wynards Farm with the help of our daughter, Annabel, and her partner Lee. Guests are greeted and shown the Yurt. We offer maps and literature and the "local secrets" of picturesque routes and places. Most of our guests enjoy the privacy of having their own space so you can be left to your own devices and just leave the key in the door when you leave. There is usually someone around if needed. Sometimes we can offer lifts to the pub or coast. Not too far off the beaten track to find peace and tranquility offered here at Wynards Farm, but close enough to visit the local eateries and attractions of the area. Wool , 2 1/2 miles away is the nearest train station. Here you can get a taxi to us or if we are around we can sometimes pick guests up. There are buses in the spring and summer that run from the end of the village to Weymouth and Poole. We love where we live here at Wynards Farm. We have been here over 31 years. It is quite unique being a little bit off the beaten track but close to the local amenities. You can walk to the pub a mile away (The Sailors Return at East Chaldon) or the village shop half a mile which has a great stock of local produce. Winfrith is a traditional, picturesque village. The views are wonderful and you can watch the sunset from the back of the property on the small decking view point, or wake up to the sunrise over the church tower. We are not far from the famous Jurassic coast featuring Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove just a five minute drive. Monkey World and The Tank Museum are ten minutes away. The Saxon walled town of Wareham on the River Frome, Thomas Hardy's Dorchester and the beaches of Weymouth are fifteen minutes away. We are a very quiet location.
