Black Dog Knotty Pine Loft
The Knotty Pine Loft is the upper level (700 sf) of our garage/guest building. Up a flight of stairs you'll find a pine paneled kitchen & living room, private bedroom, and 3/4 bath. Loft windows overlook the pine-oak woods, a tamarack marsh, and 300 yds away is Spooner Lake . Note: The Knotty Pine Loft was previously named the Lakeview Loft, but after a windstorm downed a number of big trees, birch and red oak have grown up and lessened the view of the lake. The view returns in the winter! The Loft sleeps four. It currently features a queen sized bed in a private bedroom and 2 twin beds in the main room. A crib and high chair can be provided. Guests use the entire upper level of our guest building called the Knotty Pine Loft. Washburn County has a full season of summer festivals and has dozens of fishing lakes and streams, notably the Namekagon River. The area has adventure trails for summer and winter activities, antique finds, and a local golf course, coffee shops, a local craft brewery and a local vodka distillery, and the popular restaurant, the Pine Brook Farm, is just 4 mi away. Walkers are asked to stay off posted property. Use the gravel road. Washburn County is a great place for car, bike, ATV and snow sleds. At Spooner Lake, you can launch boats at the public landing just 10 minutes away. Guests can use our dock to launch canoes and kayaks, or to tie-up small boats. We follow Superhost Protocols for cleaning and sanitizing. Garbage needs to go into the bin provided. We don't want to attract bears or raccoons! Please use a garbage bag in the garbage bin. Please recycle cans, bottles, newspaper. No Smoking or Vaping inside or outdoor. We are on a septic system - flush toilet paper only, no grease or oil down the sink drain. No bleach, chemicals, medicine, male or female hygiene products, or coffee grounds should go down the drain.
